We began as friends.

While we did not start dating until 2019 our friendship goes back to 2008. We met swimming for South Metro Storm swim club in middle school and were part of the same friend group. Throughout high school and college, we swam with each other in club and against each other in college. Through all these years, we always remained friends. In college, we would have at least three meets together each year. We swam the same events and were always behind the blocks cheering for one another despite being on different teams.

Our friendship grew.

After college, we would go on 'adventures' (not dates, we were best friends and that would have been weird). There were many long phone calls, road trips to Duluth and Mankato, thousands of Snapchats and I realized that this guy was more than my best friend. Apparently, we were the last to realize this but hey- the rest is history! Yes, we both survived the friend zone.

We fell in love.

We officially started dating in September 2019, quickly we knew we were meant for each other. Thanks to COVID we moved in together in the spring of 2020, got our first townhome and puppy (Storm) in summer 2020. We got engaged in June 2021 in one of our favorite places, Whitewater State Park and we have never been happier! We love going on walks and hikes with Storm, trying new recipes and restaurants, hanging out with family and friends, and doing anything outside!

We are getting married on January, 8th in Mexico with a small group of family and friends.

While we are sad we cannot have all of our family and friends there with us, we know they will all be celebrating with us from a distance :)

We are registered at Target, Crate and Barel, and we have a cash fund for our first home (it is hidden in the list somewhere). We are extreamly grateful for your presence in our lives and are excited to grow our life together and fill our future home with memories.
