Where should we stay? When should we book?
Unknown to us at the planning of our wedding date and venue, the areas surrounding the wedding location are crazy busy with large and popular events. Majority of hotels in the area are booked and/or booking fast. We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible. See the travel section for recommended hotels in the area.
Where is the event? How do we get there? Is there transportation?
The whole event (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) is located at Moss Estates Venue, 27700 County Rd 44A, Eustis, FL 32736. There will be ample parking at the location. There will also be complimentary guest transportation from The Hampton Inn Mount Dora, 19700 US-441, Mt Dora, FL 32757. Pick up times TBD.
What is the dress attire? What is the weather typically like?
We ask that you wear Cocktail/Semi-formal Attire. The weather in Florida is extremely hard to predict. In the past around this time of year, we have seen temperatures as low as the 40s at night and as high as 80s during the day. The wedding and cocktail hour are outside on mixed flooring: cobblestones and grass. The reception is inside.
Can I bring a plus one to your wedding?
Unfortunately, we're on a tight budget and have limited space, so we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding!
Are children invited to the wedding?
Though we would love to include all ages, this wedding is centered around a more adult atmosphere. Unfortunately children under the age of 15 will not be accommodated and therefore we cannot include them in the celebrations.
Will there be an open bar?
YES! We do ask that guests remember this celebration will be a marathon not a sprint. Shots are for amateurs and not allowed. And to always respect your bartenders and servers. Also there will be photos and videos taken throughout the night and any embarrassing drunken shenanigans will be documented for future family joke gifts.
What type of food will be served at the wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner buffet with multiple entree, vegetable, and side options. Vegetarian and Vegan entree options will be offered to those who select it on their invite. For those who stick around to party, a late night snack will be served too.
What about desserts?
Get ready for a sugar rush. Not only will there be a delicious cake, but a whole buffet of dessert options from cookies to cupcakes, brownies to mini key lime pies.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We are asking that all guests respect our Unplugged ceremony. Don't worry we are paying a lot of money to some extremely talented photographers and videographer to not miss a moment. Starting with cocktail hour and throughout the night, feel free to take as many photos and videos. We encourage them!
Can I post photos on social media? Is there a hashtag to include?
You can post photos on social media, but we do ask that you do not tag anyone without their personal consent. Also no embarrassing photos! Be kind to you fellow guests. We have a wedding hashtag and ask that you utilize it with your posts: #onroutttovalley
How can I RSVP for the wedding? Or sadly notify I cannot attend?
All RSVPs can be submitted through the website. Also don't forget to answer the questions. We'd love to know your song suggestions!
