Katelyn and Matthew met at the National Harbor where she became curious since he had a Pensacola phone number but they've never met. The two started a friendship. Matthew moved up from St Mary's County to live with Katelyn where they had their first apartment and welcomed their first baby girl Miss Ellie Kate Warren on January 8, 2014.

Many of you know or are apart of Katelyn's family's golf tournament that is put on by her Uncle and Aunt. Matthew went to play golf with the guys and built up the courage to ask her. Uncle Mark made the losing and winning team announcements with one last announcement. Matthew went up in front of many family and friends to say that "Thank you to everyone this family has been so generous and so kind.
