In 2018, Luke and Katelyn attended another Appalachia Service Project trip where they again worked on the same house for a week. In 2019, Luke and Katelyn were once again assigned to the same team for their Appalachia Service Project trip but this trip was different. Luke and Katelyn began to talk and hang out more throughout the week. So much so they continued to text each other after the trip ended! A few weeks after coming home, Luke took Katelyn on their first date to play miniature golf and eat at Steak n' Shake.
After four years of dating, Luke took Katelyn on a weekend trip back to the Appalachian area where they hiked Mt. Leconte. Luke got on one knee at the summit of Mt. Leconte and asked Katelyn to be his wife!
After about six and a half years together, we will be officially tying the knot on May 31, 2025. We cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together and start our own little family!
