After Mitchell graduated from high school, he joined Katelyn in Cedar Rapids where they got their first apartment together. Katelyn transferred schools to Kirkwood to pursue a career in the dental field.

While Katelyn was busy pursuing a degree and career in the dental field, Mitchell enlisted in the military to become a United States Marine.

Following Mitchell’s graduation from boot camp and his completion of MOS school in Missouri, we packed our bags to head south for Mitchell’s one and only duty station, Camp Lejuene.

With Mitchell being home from the Marines and us both becoming established in our careers, we decided we were tired of renting and wanted a place of our own.

Cant have a home without a dog! We brought home sweet baby Echo.

We decided Echo needed a friend, we brought home Kilo.

It’s been a joy having Mitchell home other than realizing how expensive our hobbies are. We ditched the quads and dove into the sxs world in addition to our Jeep addiction.

In April 2023 we found out we were expecting the biggest surprise of our lifetime!

We headed west to Colorado in July where Mitchell got down on one knee to propose to Katelyn after we had spent nearly 10 years together.

We sold our first home together so we could move to the country and prepare to raise our baby boy.

We welcomed our son, Kaiser Steven into this world. He has been the biggest blessing.

We are currently in the middle of parenthood having the time of our lives. Kaiser has finally learned to walk which means he can put on his dancing shoes so he’s ready for our wedding. We can’t wait to celebrate with each and every one of you that has been a part of our story these last 11 almost 12 years! October 2025 can’t come fast enough!
