Conner and Katelynn met shortly after Katelynn had moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She was waitressing at the time, and Conner was home on a four-day leave from the military. The two exchange numbers and talked every day since. Long talks turned into long drives and long drives turned in to a love story. The two endured a ping-pong battle between Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Missouri while trying to spend as much time together as possible. Their love of football, dark sense of humor, and enjoyment of each other’s company is what fueled the relationship. Conner asked Katelynn to marry him on July 1, 2022 while they were dancing in the headlights. She of course said yes. And even though there are still long phone calls and long car rides, the couple is eager to find a place that is theirs and build a life together.
