we met for the first time on october 8th, 2016, in our first year of college after some enthusiastic matchmaking from our friends who thought we would be perfect for each other. one awkward conversation later, and i decided to never talk to daniel again because it had gone so horribly. i thought my friends were full of absolute horse sh*t. (daniel will say it didn't go as bad as i thought, but i'm still not convinced.)

but we just kept seeing each other, even after i kept going out of my way not to. one thing led to another, and a couple of parties later, we were talking every day. we talked all throughout our first thanksgiving break, and we got back and somehow decided to date a little bit more seriously on november 27th, 2016.

that 'dating a little more seriously' turned into our first apartment together our junior year of college, a beautiful puppy named after my grampy, two cross country moves, and even more wonderful memories of us together and more firsts, including our first time sharing a bathroom with each other. (this one took time, but we got through it!)

after moving back to daniel's home in the charlotte area, daniel proposed a little under a year later in one of our favorite places, frank liske park. turns out our friends were right! we look forward to spending our lives together as we were meant to—as husband and wife. thank you all for loving us the way we love you!

daniel and katey's first trip together was new york city during winter break freshman year, where they said 'i love you' for the first time!

katey threw up again while meeting daniel's grandparents, anne and jack!

daniel changed his major twice in college, while katey changed hers three times!

daniel and katey have been to a few shows together! to name a couple, chance the rapper and orville peck!

katey and daniel have also gone on trips to charleston, savannah, philadelphia, and las vegas together!

one time daniel won $200 on a slot machine at mandalay bay! daniel says it was a team effort but really katey just watched! this was a huge deal for like a week!
