Katherine and Eric met at just 14 years old when they entered Archbishop Williams High School as freshmen. They were friendly throughout high school and would run into each other in the years to follow, but eventually lost touch as life became busy.
Fast forward 15 years when fate would have them reconnect. Eric asked Katherine to "grab a drink", which is code for "would you like to go on a date, but we're not going to call it a date". Katherine somehow agreed to meet Eric on a work night, even though Katherine NEVER goes out on a work night! Katherine showed up to the "non-date" a fashionable 15 minutes late, and almost missed her shot with Eric as another woman at the bar was trying to make her move! This would soon become the running joke throughout their entire relationship. Katherine ended up staying out past her 10pm bedtime that night, and that is when everyone knew this guy must be different...
Over the next few months our love blossomed and soon we would become inseparable. Dinner picnics at Nantasket Beach, Day trips to Rye, and overnights down the cape made for a special connection between the two of us. The true test of our relationship, however, would be whether or not our dogs would get along. Well, it turned out the humans had more reservations than the dogs because the three were instantly best buds.
In the summer of 2024 Eric planned out a surprise proposal in Rye Beach. With a bouquet of Katherine's favorite flowers (blue hydrangeas) and the waves voicing their encouragement, Eric got down on one knee and asked Katherine to put up with his dad jokes for the rest of their lives together.
Whether it's at Rye Beach, down The Cape, or locally at Katherine's "water view" home in Weymouth, the ocean air has become a significant part of our life together and we thought it only fitting to be wed in the salt air.
We cannot wait to share our love with all of you as we tie the knot on July 25, 2025 on Cape Cod at The Wequassett Resort & Golf Club!
