April 25, 2014 was like any average Friday night for Katherine, working an event at&nbsp;OZ&nbsp;Arts Nashville. She was going through her "event day sheet", checking "to-do's" off her list when she walked outside to meet the valet onsite manager and&nbsp;walking down the driveway with a sunset sky,&nbsp;was Seth. She thought to herself, "WOW- he's a hunk!". &nbsp;Keeping it professional, she greeted him, introduced herself&nbsp;and gave him the event details for the night. He was equally professional&nbsp;and with a huge grin on his face,&nbsp;assured her everything would go according to plan. Following&nbsp;procedure, she&nbsp;exchanged phone numbers with Seth, just in case of emergencies,&nbsp;and carried on checking items off her list preparing for the guest's arrival. As the night went on, the client was happy, the event was a success and vendors were&nbsp;loading out. Katherine stepped outside to thank Seth and the valet team and waved them goodbye. Walking back to her office, she received a text message from none other than you guessed it.... SETH!! He had asked her permission if it was okay to contact her outside of work and she of course said YES!&nbsp;After a few weeks of texting back and forth, Seth had finally asked Katherine out on a date and reluctantly, Katherine said no! Seth was heartbroken meanwhile, Katherine was distraught with her decision as she wanted to keep things professional between the two of them.Fast forward one month later, Katherine was at dinner with her childhood friend and bridesmaid, Abby, and over some margaritas the boy topic came up. They exchanged some stories and Abby&nbsp;asked if Katherine was interested in anyone and she told her about Seth and how she&nbsp;couldn't get him&nbsp;out of her mind but thought she had lost her chance with him. Abby was quick to help concoct a text message that would hopefully revive Katherine's chances at going out&nbsp;on a date with Seth. They finally came up with, "Hey, how have you been?"- simple, right? Not at the time, Katherine's stomach was in knots and she felt so bad that she turned him down in the first place, she wasn't sure if simplicity would work. After sleeping on it for a week, Katherine finally mustered up the courage on June 13, 2014 to send the text message. That afternoon, Seth replied back!!&nbsp;They both wanted to meet up that evening. He lived in Hendersonville and she lived in Murfreesboro so they agreed to&nbsp;meet in the middle at Tusculum Strike and Spare on Nolensville Pike- for those that aren't familiar- this isn't the most charming first date location but nevertheless,&nbsp;Katherine was excited to see Seth again!&nbsp;

How We Met

They met at the bowling alley and&nbsp;talked about everything, family, friends, work, music, etc. while playing.&nbsp;They had played two games, Katherine beating Seth both times,&nbsp;when hunger set in and they drove&nbsp;across the street to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. They laughed and talked and learned more about each other and feelings began to grow.&nbsp;After dinner, they walked out to the parking lot where Seth was holding her hand when&nbsp;they reached her then Chevy Cobalt and&nbsp;Seth leaned in and kissed her. &nbsp;It was the perfect ending to their first date! They went on many dates after that, going to Cardinals baseball games, lake days, movies, &nbsp;Nashville Shores,&nbsp;meeting each other's families, and falling more in love as time went on.&nbsp;

The First Date

Seth and Katherine went to visit Seth's family in Belknap, IL on their time off on September 6-7, 2017. They had a great visit, spending time with his family and catching up. They decided before heading out on the 7th,&nbsp;they wanted to go for a walk down the trail at&nbsp;Heron Pond near his parent's house. They had gone on that walk many times before so it wasn't&nbsp;unusual to Katherine at the time that Seth would suggest this. They piled in Seth's truck, holding hands and singing to Turnpike Troubadours and they pulled up to the trail site parking. It was a beautiful day for a walk. They stopped on a bridge, appreciating the scenery and messing around, skipping&nbsp;rocks at the creek. Seth&nbsp;looked at Katherine, and told her he had a present for her. She looked down and Seth was on one knee, holding a beautiful sapphire ring. He asked if she would be his wife and she said, YES!&nbsp;

Evie & Katherine met when they went to MTSU in 2008. Their older brothers were roommates at MTSU&nbsp;and they both thought their younger sisters&nbsp;&nbsp;would get along and well sometimes brothers are right ;) Evie and Katherine then became friends and eventually&nbsp;roommates and near inseparable throughout college!&nbsp;&nbsp;Fast forward 10 years later,&nbsp;Evie is currently in &nbsp;Colorado finishing nursing school. She has one Golden Retriever, Brinkley, who is the mother to Katherine&nbsp;and Seth's&nbsp;dog, Penny.&nbsp;

Courtney and Katherine are childhood friends. They&nbsp;first met in Elementary school but then really became close in middle school and high school. At a young age Courtney had big aspirations of broadcast journalism and today she is a play-by-play announcer for the SEC&nbsp;network on ESPN calling volleyball, basketball, and softball games. Months, even&nbsp;years may go by before seeing each other because of busy schedules&nbsp;but when Katherine and Courtney get together they just pick up where they left off, like nothing has changed!&nbsp;

Abby and Katherine's mothers met at Mother's Day Out&nbsp;before the girls were&nbsp;even&nbsp;born! Abby's older sister, Mandy, and Katherine's older brother, Will,&nbsp;had&nbsp;playdates and eventually Abby and Katherine would become best friends!&nbsp;Abby's love of art carried over into her career where she now is an Art Instructor at Volunteer State Community College! Abby and Katherine lived together last year and shared lots of memories just before Seth proposed to Katherine!&nbsp;

Lia is Katherine's sister-in-law. Lia and Will got married on May 3, 2014 and have two children, Aiden (8), and Annalee (2). Both kids are also in the Wedding as junior groomsman and flower girl. Lia is truly Will's better half and has the best attitude about everything! She does so much for her family, friends, and church and is beyond worthy of&nbsp;&nbsp;the title of "Super-Mom". Among everything she works side-by-side with&nbsp;Will in&nbsp;their new business Cedar Direct Lumber Yard in College Grove. Needless to say she is a wearer of many hats and Katherine is thrilled that she will be&nbsp;standing by her side as she has done since she joined the Davis family!&nbsp;
