Our Wedding

Kat and Jake's story began the summer of 2018, when fate brought them together in Destin, FL. They had many mutual friends, but had surprisingly never met one another. It didn't take them or their friends long to realize there was something special between the two of them. Kat and Jake dated long distance for the majority of their relationship. While Kat was in nursing school at University of Kentucky, Jake was in dental school at University of Louisville. In 2021, Jake joined the United States Army and was sent to his first duty station in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Meanwhile, Kat was back in Louisville starting her nursing career at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital on the oncology floor.&nbsp; After a year, Jake was then sent to his next duty station in Ansbach, Germany. Over the next year and a half, Kat was able to visit and they traveled all around Europe together.&nbsp;Finally, in the summer of 2024 Jake was assigned to Fort Hood, Texas where Kat would join him and put an end to their long distance streak!
