Our Wedding

Kasey and Jeremiah met on August 15, 2019, at Coleman’s bar in Syracuse, NY. Kasey was out with some fellow nurses from Upstate, and Jeremiah was with a friend from Syracuse University. Coleman’s was hosting a block party where the band Mere Mortals was playing. Little did Jeremiah know, his future in-laws were enjoying the concert and block party as well! One of Kasey’s friends introduced Kasey to Jeremiah as her “hottest, single friend here...” and the rest is history!!&nbsp;	The couple shared their first kiss after Jeremiah won a bowling game- the only win he will ever experience...haha! They have loved spending the past two years together and have enjoyed making so many memories- despite the challenges of dating during a pandemic! They love spending time with their families on Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks, where both families spend time vacationing during the summer. Additionally, they enjoy spending time with friends and spoiling Kasey’s giant dog Rex! On May 15, 2021, Jeremiah popped the question to which Kasey responded, “Is this real?” The answer was obviously yes, and the moment was absolutely perfect, despite the fact that Rex chose to relieve himself in the background! Wedding planning is a whirlwind, but the couple cannot wait to spend their lives together. Forever full of lots of laughs and love.

I am Kasey’s favorite, and only, sister. I have had the pleasure of knowing her for the past 22 years and she has been by my side since I was born! My first thought when I met Jeremiah was, “wow my parents are going to love him.” Once I came to terms with knowing that any boyfriend of mine would forever live in his shadow, I realized how perfect he was for Kasey.

Kasey and I met when we worked together at the daycare. We instantly became friends and my life has been better for it ever since. She is a wonderful person and friend! I thought that Jeremiah was a wonderful guy who fit Kasey perfectly. You can see how much he loves her and how much she loves him. They make a great partnership and they are 100% a relationship to aspire to.

I met Kasey our first day at college, and we became fast friends! We’ve been laughing together ever since.  Jeremiah has such a genuine smile! And I quickly realized why he was such a good match for Kasey - his kindness is obvious right from the start.

Kasey and I met as co-workers on 11E. About a million panicked nursing questions and discussions about Bridgerton with a side of wine later, we became inseparable! My first impression of Jeremiah was when he surprised Kasey at work with a little lunch date. I remember thinking what an amazing expression of love that was! After that, I could tell he was a keeper.

The first day I met Kasey was working together in pediatrics. She was a brand new nurse who was so loving and timid. As we worked together, I found that I loved everything she stood for. I helped her become more vocal, and she helped me become more tolerant. We became a great team and best friends! She is Aunt Kasey to my kids and they love her like she is part of the family. When I met Jeremiah, the first thought I had was that they were meant to be. You could see it in his eyes, that he cared deeply for her and that he would do anything she wanted or needed. That is exactly what she deserves.

Missy Leppard

I met Kasey when she first started on 11E over 5 years ago. Right off the bat, I knew she was a good nurse and a great person. Soon, she switched to night shift and we became good friends. Friends who see some of the worst things, only become closer. Her sense of humor and genuine heart make her such a beautiful friend.  Kasey told me about “this guy” she met… all I could think was ‘HE’S LEGIT THE PERFECT GUY FOR YOU!’ Yes, this in all caps… The only way to emphasize how I felt. Haha. From that day forward, I knew they would end up together! They are just perfect for one another.

Karen MacNaught

Kasey and I first became friends on a chorus trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  We spent 12 hours on that bus talking, laughing, and using each other as pillows.  Our friendship continued through college with frequent phone calls and FaceTimes to catch up.  In 2016, I stepped off a plane fresh from a choral competition in Bulgaria, and the first thing I did was haul my jet-lagged butt to Brockport for Kasey’s birthday.  We joked that after we finished college that we would move in together… lo and behold, we were roommates for four years!  I still remember drinking a glass of wine in the kitchen to calm Kasey’s nerves before her first date with Jeremiah.  I waited on tenterhooks for her to get back home so she could spill all the tea on the adorkable guy we met at Coleman’s a few nights before.  She practically floated into the house, seemingly so at ease with how the date went - it was that moment I knew that Jeremiah was someone special.  I quickly and gladly became the third wheel as their relationship blossomed, and we soon became a happy throuple.  As COVID settled in, we would spend nights cooking (where Jeremiah hilariously botched a batch of chicken riggies), playing games, and binge watching whatever was on Netflix.  Jeremiah and Kasey are beautiful compliments to one another, and I’m so privileged to have had a front seat to the start of a beautiful relationship.

Nick Godzak

I am Jeremiah’s little bro and will be his best man at the wedding, which I am super pumped for! Jeremiah and I have been tight throughout life and, despite me being a couple of states away in the Catholic Seminary, we have stayed very close. You know you are close with someone when you are in the presence of them after a hiatus but act like you haven’t been apart at all. My first impression of Kasey was how she has both a loving personality and yet a fun sense of humor. I continue to pray daily for their engagement and that their marriage be filled with love and peace.   

Cornelius Deep

I’m Kasey’s older brother, have been all her life, and most of mine, and I’m so incredibly proud of and excited for her and the life she’s building with Jeremiah. From the moment I met Jeremiah I was struck by how perfect he was for Kasey, and by his empathetic spirit. His genuine compassion for and interest in everyone he encounters is immediately clear, and I’m so honored to be his groomsman and future brother-in-law.

I’m Kasey’s younger brother by about two years, and I could tell right away that Jeremiah was friendly, caring, and a respectful boyfriend to Kasey. I can’t wait for him to join our family — even though he’s a Bears fan…lol! 

Mark Fagan

My name is Mark St. Croix and I am one of Jer’s many cousins. I knew Jeremiah before he knew Barney the dinosaur! I have always looked forward to seeing Jeremiah at family gatherings, like camping at Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks. Kasey and Jer are great together, and it is nice that she is not intimidated by our crazy large family. She has been a great addition to family games like Oh Heck. I am looking forward to all the good times ahead!

Mark St. Croix

Jeremiah and I met during our junior year at Le Moyne College. We became really close after my mother passed away. Jeremiah came to her funeral service despite only having met her maybe a few times and having known me for just a few months. That’s who he is though; Jeremiah is the most caring guy I know who will be there for you no matter what. I first met Kasey when my wife and I were staying close to our newborn son, who was in the NICU. She was nice and engaging and really helped put us at ease in that trying time of having Ethan in the NICU. I knew there that they would make a perfect couple because of how well they complimented each other’s personalities in addition to both of their caring natures.
