Mark and Katherine met on a cold night in February 2024 while she was attending Grand Valley State University and Mark was working in accounting. The stars aligned for the two to meet at none other than The BOB in downtown Grand Rapids. They hit it off immediately, and after last call, Mark, ever the gentleman, offered to walk Katherine and her visiting brother Ryan home. In the icy conditions of Katherine’s parking lot, Mark took a fall on the ice, and Katherine ended up in the emergency room with him until three in the morning. A few stitches later, the two have been inseparable ever since and got engaged in June 2025!
