Since Katie was born, Lauren has taken on the big sister and motherly role to her (sometimes too much!). Lauren is always looking out for Katie's best interests and trying to guide Katie to be a better aunt, Christian, friend, significant other and just person overall. Lauren is extremely selfless and always looking to help Katie in whatever's needed, including wedding planning! Her and Katie have so much fun at their various traditions of going to City Flea every month, going to breakfast at Sleepy Bee whenever Lauren is off school and making Christmas cookies together every year. Lauren has become a wonderful mother to her 2 daughter's, Everly and Noelle, who Katie and Nick absolutely adore. Katie couldn't have asked for a better Matron of Honor.

Katie met Elyssa in 3rd grade at St. James White Oak. It was a weird twist of fate that they met. When Katie got into a fight with Madison and Sammie, she'd go sit with Annie and her friend, Elyssa, and then one day, they all became friends. Thank goodness Katie sat with Annie because if she hadn't, she wouldn't have met Elyssa. At St. James and McAuley High School, Katie and Elyssa would spend their days in most classes together and then would go back to Elyssa's house and just hang out, eating all of her parents egg rolls. In college, Katie was able to visit Elyssa at Duquesne University where she played Soccer at. Once Elyssa moved home, they became extremely close and would spend there days at Elyssa's house or Katie's apartment in Mt. Lookout. That was until Elyssa moved away to Norfolk, VA to live with her now-fiance. Elyssa is one of the biggest people pleasers but also the nicest, most positive and best overall humans Katie has ever met. She has been a wonderful friend to Katie and Katie cannot wait until she moves home PERMANENTLY but until then, she will have to only be Katie's Bridesmaid.

Katie met Annie in 3rd grade at St. James White Oak. It was a weird twist of fate that they met. When Katie got into a fight with Madison and Sammie, she'd go sit with Annie and her friends (specifically, Elyssa Anderson) and then they all became friends. We would "walk" to LaRosa's after school and then walk to Annie's parents house and sleepover. Once we got to McAuley High School, we would get ready for LaSalle games at Annie's parents house and eat ALL their snacks. Annie and Katie even attended up attending Miami University together. While they were in different friend groups at Miami, there friendship barely changed. If a big event happened in one of their lives, the other would be there in a second to celebrate, stress-eat, cry, etc. Annie has been fiercely loyal to Katie, almost to a fault and they've only grown closer even though Annie lives ALL THE WAY in Indianapolis, IN. Her and her husband are two of Katie and Nick's closest friends and they love them dearly. She has been there for some of Katie's biggest accomplishments in life and vice versa so it was no surprise she had to be a Bridesmaid right by Katie's side.

Katie and Lauren knew of each other in High school and lets just say they weren't the best of friends in the world...however, Katie randomly reached out to Lauren in college where they both attended Miami University. They talked for a few weeks and decided they'd be roommates in their Sophomore year. Then, there friendship continued to evolve and they continued to live together, even for 2 years after Graduation in their Mt. Lookout apartment. If Katie hadn't bought her house, they'd probably still be living together. Katie and Lauren always have had the best times together, whether that be Bowling, drinking Margaritas at wherever they go, especially Cancun or Knockback Nat's or sitting at home watching the Bengals Game. Lauren is such a positive person to be around and has become one of Katie's closest friends over the years. She is absolutely loved by everyone around Katie for her fun. outgoing and extremely sweet personality. She is essentially an honorary "Botuchis" as she's ALWAYS invited to the family events. For these reasons, Katie obviously had to ask Lauren to be a Bridesmaid!

Katie met Madison when she was in 2nd grade at St. James White Oak. Katie and Madison became instant best friends and that has stayed true to this day. Katie and Madison attended McAuley High School together and even carpooled for 2 years. Every moment they weren't at Soccer practice, they were together, typically eating Chipotle or hanging out at one of their homes. Katie even moved in for a few weeks multiple times when her mom would travel for work. Once college began, Katie visited Madison at Thomas More University and Madison visited Katie at Miami University. They had the best times going out together and then ending the night at Taco Bell, which is still how they end their nights together now. Madison is always a joy to be around and brings the party wherever she goes. She is always the last TO the party and the last to LEAVE the party. She is a loyal friend who always has a listening ear and provides the best advice. She has been a true best friend to Katie for almost 20 years now and Katie can't wait to see what happens in the next 20, which is why Katie asked Madison to be her Bridesmaid.

Katie and Brittany have known of each other since High School as Brittany attended Colerain High School which is close to Katie's childhood home. However, they only officially met when Katie met Nick's cousins, Josh and Rocky, as Brittany is Rocky's biological daughter. While Brittany was fairly shy at first, her and Katie became comfortable around each other fairly quickly as they both love to have so much fun and just talk and make jokes with each other. Some of their favorite outings together are the yearly Gilbert Golf Classic or even their biweekly Bowling league. They are both extremely terrible at Bowling but love to have competitions with each other which usually end with Brittany winning. Katie loves how Brittany makes everything fun and never takes life too seriously. She also has a love-hate relationship with Brittany loving to take photos as she hates taking photos but she appreciates it so much being able to look back on all the fun adventures together. Brittany will bring such a great and positive energy to Katie and Nick's wedding as a Bridesmaid, which is why she had to be asked to be in it.

Katie met Sammie when she was in 2nd grade at St. James White Oak. Katie and Sammie became best friends almost immediately. It was to the point Katie was a second daughter to Sammie's mom. They would go to Soccer City and spend their whole weekends there and then have sleepovers at Sammie's house. When they got to McAuley High School, things weren't much different except sleepovers turned into going to house parties and THEN sleepovers at Sammie's house and not leaving her bed except to get her mom's cheeseballs. Katie was able to visit Sammie at Ohio University for Sammie's 21st birthday and they had the BEST time. Sammie was also able to visit Katie at Miami University various times. After college, Katie even moved into Sammie's house for about 8 months until she bought Sammie's older brother's home. Sammie has been a very loyal friend for almost 20 years and NEVER fails to put Katie in her place, when she needs to be. She is always there whenever you need her and would drop the world if you asked her to do so. There was no doubt she had to be a Bridesmaid in Katie's wedding.

Katie and Mandy met through Nick, obviously. They met fairly early on in Katie and Nick's relationship as Mandy and her husband, Tyler, were 2 of Nick's favorite people in the world. Therefore, he was eager to introduce Kate to them. When they finally met, Mandy and Tyler told Katie and Nick that they were expecting their first child. They instantly became friends due to Katie's love of children and just how cool and fun Mandy seemed. They have talked almost daily since then, whether that be about their biweekly bowling league, online shopping buys, significant others, Mandy's 2 adorable children, TJ and Reece, upcoming vacations together or just planning their weekends and their outings, which always get CRAZY. They have the best time together, whether that be out with just them 2, a group or taking TJ and Reece someplace. Mandy has become one of Katie's closest friends over the past 3 years. She is always putting others first, is extremely trustworthy and always an encouraging and supportive friend. For these reasons, Mandy was the perfect Bridesmaid for Katie.

Katie and Rocky met through Nick, obviously. Katie and Rocky instantly hit it off as Rocky has the BEST personality and is the easiest person to get along with. She is one of the sweetest humans in the world and is ALWAYS down for a fun time, whether that be at Bengals games, biweekly Bowling at Stump's Lanes or the various family parties. She is the most thoughtful person and is the best parent to her children who have also become Katie's closest family/friends. Katie held the highest honor of being one of Rocky's Bridesmaids at her and Josh's wedding which made it very easy for her as there was no doubt she would be one of Katie's Bridesmaids as she is the life of every party and a wonderful friend.

Nick met Tyler because obviously he is technically his uncle but he is only 6 years older than Nick and more like an older brother than an uncle. Nick grew up looking up to Tyler and always wanting to be exactly like him and that has not changed to this day. Tyler always made Nick feel included with his friends and was always able to join in their fun time. Nick is now the God Father to Tyler and Mandy's youngest son, Reece, and loves every second of it. Nick couldn't have asked for a better Best Man than Tyler.

Nick met Jay during his Freshman Year at Elder High School and they were sort of friends. However, they became even closer friends during their time together at the University of Cincinnati and especially close the past few years. Nick and Jay share a LOVE of University of Cincinnati sports, especially Basketball and Football. They love to attend the games together and end the night hanging out in Clifton (specifically Dive Bar) just like old times in College. Jay was the perfect Groomsman for Nick as they have such fun times together.

Nick met Rawley in 8th grade thru friends of friends as Nick attended St. Jude School and Rawley attended Our Lady of Victory School. Nick and Rawley continued to become closer friends as they both attended Elder High School. However, Rawley then attended Miami University for college where Nick would often visit time and have the time of their lives. Although Rawley lives in Chicago, IL and him and Nick only see each other a few times/year, when they do see each other it's like they never skipped a beat. Rawley was the perfect Groomsman for Nick.

Nick had known of Sam during Grade School but they didn't become close friends until their time at Elder High School together. Nick and Sam would spend Summers at Sam's parents pool, aka "The Duck." Then in College, Nick spent various weekends at Sam's College home at Thomas More University. Nick loved to visit and watch Sam play Baseball. Over the past few years, Nick and Sam have became even closer and love to go out and watch every sport and discuss the best bets that they can make. Sam has been a great friend to Nick and is the perfect Groomsman.

Nick met Daniel because he is his cousin and only 2.5 years older. They grew up more like brothers than cousins and spent their days together at Grandma and Grandpa Schmitz's house going fishing, to the horse tracks or making stained glass. Daniel got Nick his first job at his Landscaping Company which then Nick had to repay the favor and got him a job at their current company, CBT Company. Nick had the privilege of being a Groomsman at his wedding in 06/2023, therefore, Nick had to ask him to be a Groomsman in his wedding.

Nick met Eric in 8th grade thru friends of friends as Eric attended Our Lady of the Visitation School and they have been inseparable since then as they both attended Elder High School. They then attended University of Cincinnati together and even lived together. Eric has been an extremely loyal and great friend to Nick for many years now. They celebrate their birthdays together every year as they are only 3 days apart. Nick's favorite day trip is to Eric's Lake House in Owenton, KY. He was the perfect Groomsman for Nick.

Nick met Brad in 8th grade thru friends of friends as Brad attended Our Lady of Victory School and they've been close friends since then as Nick and Brad both attended Elder High School. A fun memory for Nick is watching Brad play Basketball at Elder for four years. He then continued to play at Christian Brothers University in TN. Some of Nick's favorite times are hanging out in Brad's parents basement. Brad is the life of every party and is constantly making everyone laugh. He is a very good friend to Nick and had to be a Groomsman.

Nick met Matt in 1st grade at St. Jude School. They became closer and closer friends as the years on. Nick vividly remembers walking home from school with Matt to spend their afternoons together until Nick's parents got home. They then attended Elder High School together where they'd attend various Basketball and Football games. When they both went on to college, they even lived together for some time. Matt radiates positive energy and is a perfect Groomsman for Nick,

Nick met Josh because obviously he is his cousin. While Josh is over 10 years older than Nick, he is one of Nick's favorite people and is such a joy to be around. Nick and Josh love to spend their Friday's in their Bowling league together. They also love to attend every single Cincinnati Bengals game together as it's both of there favorite teams. Nick was honored to be a Groomsman in Josh's wedding in 06/2022 and couldn't wait to ask Josh to be a Groomsman in his wedding.

Everly was born on August 7th, 2020 and was the best thing to happen to Katie's life. She is the cutest, smartest, most thoughtful girl in the world and has the BEST memory. She completely adores and loves Uncle Nick but "just loves" Aunt Katie. She also adores their cats, Ducky and Trixie. She is so much fun to be around and is a complete joy to babysit. There was no doubt she had to be their Flower Girl as she asked MULTIPLE times if she was going to be in their wedding.

Noelle was born July 5th, 2023 and is the second best thing to happen to Katie's life but only because she was born second (I'm sure that's what Katie's mom says about her as well). She is also the cutest little girl in the world with her bubbly personality. She is constantly smiling in every photo taken and adores her older sister just like Katie did growing up. She is obviously growing but will eventually be able to walk and will be the perfect Flower Girl in Aunt Katie and Uncle Nick's wedding.

TJ was born on June 24th, 2021 and "Uncle" Nick and "Aunt" Katie fell in love with him immediately. His bright blonde hair and infectious smile lightened up a room whenever he entered. He is sweet and wild when he wants to be and keeps everyone on their toes but makes every event so much fun! He is the perfect Ring Bear for "Uncle" Nick and "Aunt" Katie.

Reece was born on April 17th, 2023 and has been the biggest joy to be around since then. He is such a sweetie pie and is always smiling so big. He loves to look up to his older brother, TJ, much like Nick did to Tyler for years. Nick was so honored when he was asked to be Reece's God Father. He will be the perfect Ring Bear for "Uncle" Nick and "Aunt" Katie's wedding.
