Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Please let us know if you’ll be attending by submitting your RSVP right here on our website, as this is the only way we’re collecting responses. Kindly RSVP by Sunday, December 15, 2025. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Can I bring a plus 1?

Unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate additional guests not explicitly listed on the invitations. We appreciate your understanding and cannot wait to celebrate with you!

Can I bring my children?

Children of the family will be explcitly invited to attend the ceremony as we want to include them in our special day. However, the reception will be child-free. We again appreciate your understanding.

What is the dress code?

All-Black Cocktail Attire. We kindly ask all guests to wear cocktail attire in black, including suits, dresses, jumpsuits, ties, and accessories. Subtle patterns or textures are absolutely welcome, as long as the overall look remains black. This dress code is part of our wedding aesthetic and ensures our wedding party (who will be in color) stands out in the celebration and in photos. Thank you for helping us bring our vision to life! Need ideas? Here’s some guidance to help you feel confident and celebration-ready: • Women: Black cocktail or formal dresses, jumpsuits, or elegant sets in black fabrics (lace, satin, velvet, etc.). • Men: Black suits or tailored separates with black dress shirts and black ties. • Accessories: Black shoes, bags, ties, and jewelry (metal accents like gold or silver are totally fine—just keep bold color to a minimum). • Patterns & Textures: Subtle detailing like tone-on-tone patterns is welcome, as long as the overall look reads as black. Still unsure? Don’t hesitate to ask us!

What is the parking situation?

Parking options include the west lot (main entrance) that is located at 114 S. June Street, this is the primary lot and closest to the main entrance. The east lot is accessible via 141 Ringgold Street, offering additional parking spaces. Both lots provide free off-street parking for guests. Tips for arrival: trust your GPS, even if it feels like you’re heading down a quiet residential street, you’re on the right path. The venue is situated in the Historic Huffman District, nestled among charming homes. Look for the building with three glass doors; that’s the main entrance. For more details, visit The Lift's official website.

Can I take/ post photos on social media?

We’re fortunate to have two professional photographers capturing every special moment from all angles, so you won’t need to worry about snapping photos yourself. For this reason, we kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony, as we want to see your faces not covered by screens during those meaningful moments. After the ceremony, please feel free to take and share as many photos as you’d like, even in real time! We’d love to see the celebration through your eyes, so if you post on social media, don’t forget to tag us and use our hashtag: #becomingberlund2026.

What happens at the end of the night?

We’ve planned a sweet sendoff to wrap up the evening! By no later than 10:30 PM, we’ll reveal the winner of our 50/50 raffle (be sure to stick around), followed by our private last dance at 10:35 PM. During that time, guests will head downstairs. We’ll have a grand exit no later than 10:45 PM, and we kindly ask that all guests plan to depart by 11:00 PM, when the venue closes. While we’re not hosting an official after-party, The Lift is just minutes from the Oregon District, which offers plenty of late-night spots for anyone who wants to keep the celebration going!

Can I vape or smoke

Our venue has a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy indoors. We kindly ask that all smoking and vaping take place outside of The Lift’s building and that vapes remain put away during the ceremony and reception. This helps us honor the venue’s rules, keep the space comfortable for everyone, and ensure beautiful, distraction-free photos. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us create the best day possible!
