Q + A

How do I get to Edgartown?

You must take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard. There are many ferry options available including Steamship Authority from Woods Hole, Island Queen from Falmouth, and Hy-Line from Hyannis. They run very frequently and do not require advanced reservations. Please research which ferry you would like to take for your travel itinerary. These ferries usually arrive in Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven and you can take the island bus system to Edgartown, a taxi, or an Uber. The island is small and easy to travel to different towns. You can also get there by plane if you want the most direct route from Boston.

What should I wear to the weekend events?

Each event has a different dress code, but as a courtesy to the bride, please do not wear white to any of them. Welcome Party: Cocktail attire (short or midi dresses, blouse and trousers, dress shirt and chinos for men) Wedding: Formal attire -- Please refer to dress code section Island Cruise: Casual attire

Are my kids invited?

The only people we have reserved a seat for are those listed on the invitation when they were mailed. If the invitation said "The ___ Family" then that means your entire immediate family. If it had yours plus your partner's name, then you are the only two we have saved a seat for. We will not be having any young children at the wedding reception. Please arrange for childcare for the evening and enjoy a date night! If you need assistance with this, feel free to reach out to the groom or the mother of the bride!

Will transportation be provided the day of the wedding?

Yes! Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the church, and the church to the reception. Since the reception is only a 5-minute walk back to the hotel, transportation will not be provided at the end of the night.

How will I get around in Edgartown?

Edgartown is a very walkable town, so we recommend exploring by foot. If you want to explore further, there is an easy bus system, taxis, and Ubers.

Are the Welcome Party and Sunday Island Cruise open to all guests?

Absolutely! We hope that all wedding guests can attend all wedding festivities for the weekend, but we understand if you can only make some of them. Please indicate this when you RSVP.
