Welcome to our winter weekend getaway!

We cannot wait to celebrate with you! Snowshoe Mountain is one of our favorite destinations and a very special place to us! We hope that you will enjoy your winter weekend getaway and love Snowshoe as much as we do!

Katherine and Patrick's Love Story

It all began when a recent college graduate took his first job after college teaching at an all boys school in Toledo. Within the first couple of weeks of teaching there was a student in his class who had it set in his head that his teacher was meant to be with his sister. This annoying little twerp would tell him every day that they were destined to be together. There were many events that transpired where they nearly met... basketball games, near miss walks in the neighborhood, but it wasn't until Covid shut down the world that the two would come together. That teacher came over to build a patio, and never left. All throughout that summer of 2020 Patrick and Katherine got to know each other more and more. Runs at the park, breakfast dates before work, late nights on the patio, walks around the neighborhood, eating great meals off the grill and playing games until the sun came up. Quickly their feelings for each other grew. They had so much in common and things seemed to flow so easily. Both knew instantly how special this connection they shared was. Soon Katherine went back to Kent to start nursing school, but the distance couldn't keep them apart. They still made time for each other and supported each other through it all. Patrick would frequently go visit Kent State to help Katherine decompress during school whether it was challenging each other to some activity, going dancing at the Dusty Armadillo, or taking a trip to Snowshoe to go skiing. The 2 hour drive down I80 was no match for their love. This laid the foundation for their love that is rooted in our Faith and sacrifice for each other. The past 5 years have been a time of growth and challenging one another to be the best version of ourselves. We are so excited to tie the knot and experience all of the memories yet to be made!

If you prefer, Snowshoe Mountain has multiple accommodations on the mountain that are still within close proximity to all the weekend events.

*PLEASE NOTE... Cell phone reception is very spotty within 1 hour of the mountain. Please pay close attention to your GPS as your map may not load if you miss a turn etc. We advise making this drive during daylight hours as nighttime driving on these mountain roads can be difficult*

Driving Directions from Pittsburg Airport: - Take I-376 to I-79 south- Take -79 south to Morgantown-Clarksburg-Weston- Take exit 99 in Weston- Turn left on route 33 to Elkins- Take the crystal springs exit onto 250/219- Take 250/219 to Huttonsville (route is now call - - Staunton/Parkersburg turnpike)- Turn right onto 219 in Huttonsville drive 42 miles- Turn left on route 66 for ½ mile- Turn left onto snowshoe drive for 4 miles- Corduroy Inn is on the left.

If you fly into Lewisburg, WV, Greenbrier Limo is an airport transportation option. Greenbrier Limo is a transportation service located out of Lewisburg, WV., and they offer several different sizes of transportation.

Travel & Accomodations

The location of the Corduroy Inn allows for close proximity and walking to most activities planned for the weekend! However, Snowshoe offers a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere on the mountain! It runs from Top of the World to The Village to Western Territory to Silvercreek and back. You should be able to catch one of the shuttles every 10-15 minutes at the bus stops.

Getting Around the Mountain

We want to ski with ALL of you, even if it’s your first time!

Rope drop is at 9am and lifts run until 4:30pm on the main mountain! Silvercreek lifts start spinning at 9am and run all day into night skiing until 9pm!

Skis and equipment can be rented at Expedition Rentals, located beside the Skidder slope. We recommend getting your equipment on Thursday evening, that way you can skip the line Friday morning and be ready to shred!

We recommend purchasing lift tickets online in advance for best prices and to skip the ticket line. However, if you are renting, lift tickets are also available to bundle with your equipment.

Ice skating is located in The Mountain Lodge, right at the top of the village!

Snow tubing is located in the Silvercreek area of the resort. Just take the shuttle down to Silvercreek and enjoy the eight lane snow tubing hill!
