Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you. We have waited a long time for this day so party accordingly and please have a way to get home safely! Please no outside alcohol per our contract with our venue.
What is the dress code?
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal attire and we want to see you in something colorful if you have it! Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length or midi formal dresses. Gentleman can wear a suit and tie or sports coat. Out of respect for the bride, please avoid wearing white, ivory, cream, etc.
Are kids allowed?
Unfortunately we are keeping our special day as an adult-only event. We encourage those of you with children to think of this as an opportunity to have a date night without the kids!
What time should we arrive for the ceremony?
We kindly ask that guests arrive at 4:00pm to ensure that everyone can be seated and ready for the ceremony to begin at 4:30pm.
Will the wedding be outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors in a wooded, shaded area as weather permits. Please plan accordingly to be outside for the duration of the ceremony. Cocktail hour and the reception will follow indoors.
Can I bring a guest?
We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. Your invitation will indicate if a plus one has been given to you.
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Both the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held at the same location: Gather at the Lakes Event Venue, 4315 Manchester Rd., New Franklin, OH 44319. The ceremony will take place outdoors in the wooded area behind the building and cocktail hour and reception will follow indoors.
Can I take pictures/videos during the wedding ceremony?
We ask that there are no pictures/videos taken with cell phones for the duration of the ceremony and all phones be silenced. We hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture all our special moments and we want our guests to be present with us. However, you are more than welcome to take any pictures/videos during the reception!
