For those that are not familiar with how Katie and Tyler met - it was at the beach, South Padre Island to be exact! The year was 2012, what now seems like ages ago. Their connection grew quick over their time in the sand, something they never thought would happen during a quick trip to the beach. After a memorable time that mid-July, it was back to reality. Tyler had just started nursing school at Weatherford College, while Katie was preparing to start her journey at the University of Texas. They kept in touch sporadically over the next 5 years until they couldn't resist no more!

Fast forward to December 2018... Katie had just graduated from the nursing program at UT and Tyler was living in Kansas City, MO. After connecting more frequently in the latter year of 2018, they learned that her parents lived only 14 minutes from Tyler's older brother. That December, Katie drove up to see her family, while Tyler flew down to visit his older brother. In reality, they were traveling to go on their first date. Come to realize, that connection they made back in 2012, never left. Tyler flew back home after a weekend together, with a girlfriend.

After 6 months of long distance, Tyler picked up his things and moved to Austin, TX. For the past 4 years, their relationship has blossomed into something very special and everlasting. Tyler proposed to Katie along the Blue River in Silverthorne, CO - somewhere close to their hearts. They now live together in East Austin and have a beautiful golden retriever named Lily.
