The BART station in Pleasanton (one town west of Livermore) is a park and ride that offers fast and cheap connection to Oakland, San Francisco, and beautiful towns nearby.
Sycamore Grove Park
Beautiful, flat, and easy hiking spot in Livermore.
Morgan Territory Regional Preserve
Just north of Livermore, an absolutely gorgeous hiking location (and park where Max "popped the question") in the foothills of Mount Diablo and up a stunning winding road.
Baseball: Twins at A's
For Minnesota or Bay Area sports fans, the Minnesota Twins are playing the Oakland Athletics from June 21st-23rd at (as Bruce, Max's Dad, affectionately calls it) the ugliest sports stadium in the U.S., the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

Altamont Beer Works
One of the best breweries in the Bay Area is located right in Livermore, very close to the Steven Kent Winery.
Hops and Sessions
A constant in Katherine & Max's local bar/restaurant repertoire, and in the heart of downtown Livermore. Rotating, self-pour beers and cocktail bar.
We recommend the soft pretzel, garlic truffle fries, and the Hops Burger.
Terra Mia
A favorite local restaurant of Katherine and Max's. Great Italian food and atmosphere, and the bartender always makes excellent cocktails.
We love the calamari in particular!
Robertson Park Disc Golf Course
A pretty and somewhat challenging disc golf course in the heart of Livermore. It is located within Robertson Park, so there is plenty of parking.
San Francisco Premium Outlets
Outlet shopping mall located in Livermore with high-end and premium brands.
Las Positas Golf Course
A decent golf course in Livermore located near Livermore Airport.
Monica's Livermore
Very popular brunch spot in the heart of downtown Livermore.

Very cool, locally owned comic book shop in downtown Livermore.
In-N-Out Burger
Why not spend 5-6 hours in the drive-thru? Or walk inside and get your burger in 15-20 minutes. The choice is yours. Katherine and Max prefer The Habit Burger, further down the same street.
Poppy Ridge Golf Course
A golf course in Livermore, in a more remote location. Check ahead for tee times. Has a restaurant with beautiful patio views and OK food.
The Course at Wente Vineyards
A beautiful golf course on the north side of Del Valle Regional Park. Check ahead for tee times. Adjacent to the Wente Winery tasting room.
Downtown Pleasanton
Pleasanton is the town just west of Livermore and offers a cute downtown, second only to Livermore's. It has good restaurants, a park near downtown, and good walkin'. Easily accessible taking Stanley Blvd or take the scenic route down Vineyard Ave.

If you're going to San Francisco, this is a beautiful, large, and famous park in a nice neighborhood overlooking the city. Katherine and Max love getting day drunk and watching Fleet Week from here.
Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area
Like getting dirty? This park offers visitors with 4WD cars/trucks or dirt bikes the opportunity to off-road in peace.
