Our Wedding

Katherine and Albert first met in the Spring of 2019. At the time, Katherine was playing on a Sunday league soccer team with some friends and the team was in desperate need for a goalie. Step in Albert who was invited to join by a mutual friend on the team (shoutout Jakub!). Katherine immediately caught Albert's eye, but he was too shy to make a move right away, so he settled for passing her the ball a little more often than everyone else while trying to become friends. Fast forward to September 14: Katherine was enjoying brunch and getting ready for a fun Saturday with friends when a mutual friend decided to invite Albert to join the fun (shoutout Austyn!). Once he met up with them, Katherine and Albert were inseparable for the rest of the day as they got to know each other. Eventually, everyone made their way to Big Head Brewery where Katherine and Albert realized that they didn't really like the beer on tap, so they decided to talk about hypothetical ways they would improve the look of the taproom if given the chance. At a certain point, though, you inevitably run out of hypothetical changes to talk about: Katherine had realized that she really liked Albert and was hoping that he felt the same way. She tried dropping hint after hint to him, which he was entirely oblivious to as a typical boy. Finally, having had enough, Katherine asked Albert point blank "why haven't you kissed me yet?" At long last, he got the hint and the rest is history. Albert knew he loved Katherine almost immediately and proposed to her on July 4, 2021 while they were with the rest of Katherine's family at their annual "Up North" family vacation. A year's worth of planning (shoutout Maggie and Anne!) was well worth it as Katherine was completely surprised and said yes. They spent the rest of the trip celebrating with her family. Now, we are excited to be able to celebrate with you at our wedding in March 2023!
