It all started when Sean responded to Katie's prompt "Rock Chalk Jayhawk", with the classic pickup line "opposites attract". After weeks of Sean and Katie messaging each other, Sean finally asked Katie out for dinner with their favorite meal to this day... Mexican and Tequila shots.

After a couple of shots to break the ice and a set of scratch off tickets (that took hours to complete) we were both quickly ready for date two. Fast forward to date three, Sean invited Katie to their family lake house for Memorial Day weekend. Quickly she would find out, that also would lead to meeting the parents after only three dates!!

We quickly grew in our relationship, met each other's families, and knew there was something special. After many more dates, adventures, trips, lake weekends, weddings and even moving in together, in October, Sean decided to propose. A trip to Jamaica was planned for a relaxing get away after the 6 weddings we celebrated in 2023. Sean planned massages over the ocean, a "photo session", followed by a celebratory candlelit dinner. It was perfect. Katie excitedly accepted his proposal and cannot wait to marry the man of her dreams.

Our love has grown over the occasional tequila shot, bowling, Katie trying to convince Piper that she is going to be an okay dog momma, unique dates, many awkward moments (including the first kiss story heard round the world), their rivalry of KU vs Mizzou, and truly realizing we have found the best person in the world for each other.
