What is the dress code for you wedding?
Formal attire: We cannot wait to be with you on our special day! The wedding dress code is formal attire, which means we suggest men wear a suit of any color and women wear a formal dress or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress.
What's the wedding itinerary?
Our wedding will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Lady's Island in Beaufort, SC. The ceremony will begin at 5:30PM sharp. The wedding will be followed by cocktail hour and the reception at the Carolina Ballroom at the Dataw Island Club. We will have a sparkler exit at around 10:50PM.
When should I arrive for the Ceremony?
We recommend arriving at the church 15 to 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time . Seating opens at 5:00PM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30PM
I'm not Catholic. What should I know about the wedding?
We are thrilled to have you joining us for our wedding. We will be having a Mass, which lasts about an hour. We invite you to follow along in the program. The priest will let you know when to sit, stand, or kneel (you may also sit prayerfully).
All God’s children are welcome to this sacred place and liturgy. The Catholic understanding of Holy Communion as the very Body and Blood of Jesus Christ limits the reception of the Holy Eucharist to those who share our faith and are united in discipleship within the Catholic Church. Our brothers and sisters of other faiths are invited to come forward to receive a blessing at this time. The desire to do so may be indicated by crossing the arms over the chest.
Do I need to provide my name to the gatehouse at Dataw Island?
When you arrive at Dataw, simply let the gatehouse attendant know that you are there for the Reilly-Dennis wedding. You'll be provided a pass with a map on the back. For GPS, use 100 Dataw Club Drive, Dataw Island, SC.
What should I know about transportation for Beaufort and Dataw Island?
Unfortunately, Ubers and Lyfts can be hard to find. We recommend carpooling and having a designated driver or pre-booking a cab/car service.
