We met our senior year of high school after both committing to play lacrosse at Pace University. We started dating that fall, and it didn’t take long to realize this was something special.

Since then, we’ve shared so many beautiful moments—watching sunsets in Saratoga, walking the cliffs in Maine, strolling through Charleston, exploring Iceland, and spending quiet nights together watching reality TV. No matter where we are, being together has always felt like home.

We got engaged in Charleston on a sailboat named Fate, which couldn’t have been more perfect. Shortly after, when Lois (Katie’s mom) became very sick and was battling a deadly bacteria, we chose to get married in the ICU while she was in a coma, surrounded by our loved ones and the incredible doctors and nurses who helped save her life. Lois is now healthy and recovering, and we’re so grateful to be able to celebrate our marriage with all of our family and friends on December 20th.
