While we have many people we wanted to share this moment with, we feared that with the pressures of modern weddings we would lose the real meaning behind the ceremony. Eloping meant we got to focus on what really mattered to us on the big day, each other.

We never even questioned where we wanted to be when we got married. Though we chose to move away from Crested Butte and will continue our journey to new places, Crested Butte will always be a part of our love story.

We exchanged vows alone with our dogs in an open meadow surrounded by wildflowers, but our license was signed in the courthouse.

We are living and working in Sheridan, Wyoming. We are finding our groove here and are blessed with a great group of friends. We are still planning our next adventures, but in the meantime, Brien will soon start studying to become a welder.

Chickens. Also a garden. We also want to be content together. Our dream may feel small to some, but to us we just want to live somewhere where we can grow and grow together.
