Katherine and Hampton had their first date on March 13th, 2021 at Kardinal Hall in Charlottesville, a local beer garden that both frequented. Four hours later their night together ended, and both went home with feelings that this date had been different, the person across from them was someone special. They were eager to go on another date, this time on Grounds at UVA, where Hampton began to fall in love with Katherine. A few days later on a hike around Blue Ridge School, where Hampton teaches, Katherine also began falling in love with him. They fell hard and grew close to each other quickly. To stay in touch over the summer while Hampton worked in New Hampshire they wrote letters to each other, something they still do to express their feelings towards one another. During that summer, visions of a long life and a particularly special day began to take form. In February of 2022, Hampton was tired of waiting and picturing that life in the future; he was ready for it to begin. On the 19th, Hampton took Katherine back to the secret gardens where they got to know each other on their second date, he explained how he feels when he looks at her, what he saw their future looking like, and how he didn’t want to wait any longer to start their life together, and asked Katherine to marry him. Katherine said “yes” with no hesitation. Hampton and Katherine are so excited to share their love with you and are grateful to have you there to celebrate with them!&nbsp;
