Q + A

What is the dress code?

We’d love for friends & family to dress up with us! Dress code is semi-formal to formal. Ladies, midi-formal, tea-length or floor length dresses. Gentlemen, dress shirt & tie, sports coat or suit.

What's with the train theme?

Chattanooga, where Katherine was born & raised, is home to the vibrant & historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Train Station. Our reception venue- The Signal- sits on its campus. As such, we will be tying in this motif throughout our wedding celebrations. We even took our engagement pictures at the former train terminal, Union Station, in Nashville.

When should our guests RSVP?

Please RSVP on our website by Friday, January 31st (see "RSVP" tab).

When should our guests arrive to the ceremony?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30. Please arrive to the church no later than 3:00 pm to allow time for parking, entering the venue, and finding a seat for the ceremony. Cocktail hour at The Signal will immediately follow.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both the reception & ceremony will take place indoors.

What is the easiest way to get to our wedding venues?

We recommend driving to Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church for our ceremony. There is plenty of free parking on-site. For the reception, we recommend leaving your car at your hotel (see "Travel" tab for details) & walking to the venue. There is limited paid parking in front of The Signal, paid parking in the adjacent garage (Carta South Garage - 1362 Market St), & street parking around the area.

Is it okay to take pictures at our ceremony?

Feel free to snap photos throughout the night at the reception, but Katherine & Will kindly ask that cellphones remain in your pockets during the ceremony.

Will food be served at the reception?

Cocktail hour will include light appetizers with a buffet style dinner to follow.

May I bring my child?

Although we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.
