Mosquito Flats Walk-in Campground

Hi everyone we are so sorry to say, but due to the weather we are cancelling the hike Friday morning. We still plan on the happy hour, however, with temperatures anticipated in the teens and twenties at 8:00 we think this is way too cold for a leisurely hike. If you are still interested in hiking there are many other hikes in the Mammoth Lakes area that you can do as it warms up later in the day. (Rock Creek will be in the 40’s around noon). Again we apologize and look forward to seeing every one :)

Welcome Everyone!
We are so excited to welcome all of you to our special day at Convict Lake.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, I (Katherine) grew up visiting Mammoth Lakes almost every year since I was a baby. It became a tradition with my family that whenever we went up to Mammoth we would spend the first day getting acclimated to the altitude by taking the trail around Convict Lake.
This past September, Danny visited Mammoth for the first time. He quickly fell in love with the Sierras and we had a blast showing him some of the places that have become so special to my family. When we were at Convict Lake he pointed up at a peak and said, "Next time we come here we should camp up there." Well we may not be camping, but I think what we have in store for our next visit to Convict Lake will be even more memorable <3.
I HIGHLY recommend that everyone check out the Visit Mammoth website for detailed information on things to do, lodging, and travel recommendations.
Or you can continue to read along to the ramblings of a radiology resident with poor grammatical skills.
