Matt and Katie matched on Bumble on August 8th, 2021. They quickly transitioned from discussing the best tacos in San Antonio to planning their first date: mini-golf. Matt and Katie hit it off during their first date, which turned into four dates in one (mini-golf, wings, a movie, and drinks). They spent every day together in the week that followed, growing even closer as they supported each other through COVID and a kidney infection.

A month into dating, Matt asked Katie to be his girlfriend. Over the next two years, they grew even closer, spending time with each other and their families. In December 2022, Matt asked Katies dad for her hand in marriage. He spent the months leading up to April planning the proposal with help from Molly and Jerry. Finally, on April 28th, 2023, the day he closed on his new house, Matt proposed to Katie. They are excited to begin their new life together in Boerne, Texas.
