It all started on November 9th, 2021 with a message on the Hinge (dating app). Kathleen made the first move after spotting a picture of Alex snowboarding. She couldn’t resist cracking a joke about breaking her tailbone the last time she tried to hit the slopes via snowboarding—classic flirting with a hint of warning!After some great conversation, we decided to meet up in person. Our first date was at a small, tucked-away Mexican restaurant hidden down a back alley. It was cozy, a little sketchy, and totally perfect. We brought our own bottle of tequila (BYOB) but barely touched it—we were too busy talking, laughing, and realizing there might be something special here. From that simple beginning—one message, one meal, one sip of tequila—our story took off. And now, we can’t wait to start the next chapter together.

Located just 16 miles east of Beaufort, Hunting Island State Park is the perfect destination for a hike. With over 5 miles of pristine beaches, 4 miles of hiking trails, and 2000 acres of unspoiled natural beauty, the park offers something for everyone. Marsh Boardwalk Trail - 0.4-mile boardwalk meanders through a lush maritime forest, offering visitors stunning views of the marshes and the surrounding wildlife. Diamondback Rattlesnake - 2-mile loop that takes hikers through dense forests and over sandy dunes, offering spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding marshlands. The lighthouse trail - 3-mile round-trip trek that takes you past the park's historic lighthouse. Climbing the lighthouse's 167 steps to the top will reward you with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding coastline.
