Brian and Kat met the old fashioned way...which today means on Tinder, of course! Although they hadn't met before, they had a mutual friend-Kat knew her from high school and Brian knew her from the Knolls. Kat knew that she was friends with very handsome twins, so when one of them popped up on her Tinder, she hurriedly swiped right!

It was April 2020, the height of covid, but Brian and Kat took a risk and met for the first time at Brian's apartment in Stamford.

Even though their worlds had pretty much shut down, Kat and Brian didn't let that stop them from getting to know each other. From long walks down the Walnut Beach boardwalk to ordering takeout in Stamford, they enjoyed every minute they were able to spend together.

Almost a year later, opportunity called when Kat's roommate moved out. Since Brian was still working remotely, they decided that he would move into her Milford apartment!

Anyone who knows Brian, however, knows that he's moved almost every year since graduating from UConn, so the move to Milford would not be his (or their) last. Kat and Brian had been thinking about a dog, but the Milford apartment wouldn't allow it, so a move to Bridgeport came in February 2022.

By April 2022, Kat and Brian welcomed their golden doodle puppy, Riley, into their world after traveling down to Alabama to pick her up!

In June 2023, Kat got a wonderful opportunity to teach in New Milford (on the other side of CT), so it was time to move yet again. This time they found a house in Newtown with plenty of space for Riley to run!

Happily settled in their (3rd) new home, Brian proposed on September 17th, 2023 on the back patio while Riley wore a bandana that said "Will you marry my dad?"

And the rest...is history! :)
