We met in Kathryn's freshman year and Austin's sophomore year at Texas Tech living down the hall from each other in the Honors dorm. We crossed paths often and found ourselves to be the two introverts in our similar friend groups.

After many "practice dates" and finally making it really official in December 2015, a trip to Hastings (rip) brought about one of the best Valentine's Dates ever- remiscing on our favorite movies and purchasing, then watching Silence of the Lambs.

Engaged! After nearly 3 years of long distance the idea of a life together was finally just around the corner. Smack in the middle of a pandemic, add in a cancelled flight, and sprinkle in some graduate school stress- Austin pulled off potentially the most tedious of treks to get to Lubbock and propose.
