When Michael and I first met, it was very cliche. We met in a bar.

My cousin was having a get together celebrating her promotion back in September 2010. She had invited a big group of people she had worked with and also invited me along. That's when Michael and I first met.

So for the next two years, we talked almost everyday through Facebook and text messages. He was so sweet and kind; asking me every day how my day was going.

Then on January 21, 2012, we went on our first date. We had coffee and spent three hours just talking. We had our first kiss and that's where it all started.

We have shared so many memories since that night. It has been over 6 years together now (living together for 3 years) and things couldn’t be better. We have really grown to appreciate each other everyday.

On October 15, 2016, we decided to go to Watkins Glen State Park. My brother had come with us and it was the most beautiful day. It was perfect weather and the trees were so colorful. The three of us had walked the gorge, under some waterfalls, and reached a stone balcony overlooking the gorge. My brother had to "take a break", so we decided to rest for a moment.

Mike turned to me and asked to take a picture together because the trees behind us were bright yellow. People who know me know I love taking pictures so I thought nothing of it. My brother "took the picture" but had the phone set to video.

Mike grabbed my hands and made a speech about wanting to spend the rest of our lives together. I could tell he was nervous because he was talking extremely fast. The next thing I know, he gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

When that moment comes in a girls life, you never know how your going to react or what your going to say. Some stay speechless. Some cry. I said "shut up". I was in such shock. But the answer was obvious. I said yes!

We have had so many great times and memories together and can't wait to become husband and wife!
