Kathryn and Connor, a sophomore and senior at UNH, were looking for a partner and turned to tinder to find their match. In March of 2021, Kathryn came across a profile with “have yourself a damn good one” in his bio, and a photo of him holding a 64oz can of baked beans…

Tinder App crash course: You swipe on the other person’s profile to say that you are “not interested” (swipe left) or that you are “interested” (swipe right)

Not interested, she went to swipe left and move on, but got confused with her directions and swiped right… lo and behold, they matched! Little did she know, this one mixup would change the course of their lives.

Within the first few weeks of talking; they watched youtube, played animal crossing together, and had a Twilight movie marathon until 4am (they are team Edward all the way). Connor even tried to impress Kathryn by making her a mixed drink (he ‘juiced’ a Capri Sun juice pouch…).

Finally, they planned their first official date, getting smoothies at The Works on campus, which Kathryn forgot about. It wasn’t until she got a photo from Connor all dressed up at The Works, she asked what he was doing there, and he replied “our date…” to which she realized he was waiting for her! Luckily, he gave her another chance or else there wouldn’t be a wedding to attend!

They started dating April 4th, 2021, and one of their official date spots became Wagon Hill Farm! Throughout the semester, Connor would surprise Kathryn during her late-night study sessions with grilled cheese! He’d keep her company even though they had to sit between plastic dividers (COVID, am I right?).

They moved into their first apartment together in Dover on May 7th, 2022, and adopted their furry baby, Eunie, on August 18th that year. After Kathryn graduated, and a stressful period of apartment searching, they moved into their current apartment in Brunswick, Maine on August 15th, 2023!

November 18th, 2023, Connor surprised Kathryn and brought her back to Wagon Hill Farm, where they hung out a lot when they first started dating! Connor proposed to Kathryn using her grandmother's ring, like she always dreamed of, and the wedding planning began!

They cannot wait to share their special day with their loved ones on August 2nd, 2025. The perfect day to celebrate their love story.
