Kevin and Katy met in 2011 at Pope John XXIII, now Saint John XXIII, High School. They met casually through mutual friends, found they enjoyed each others company, and started spending more time together. Although they could not have been more different, they began to deeply care for each other and eventually became sweethearts.

Kevin and Katy endured four years of a long distance relationship while Katy completed her undergraduate studies. Kevin eventually moved to Michigan as Katy began her journey in graduate school at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor to become a Nurse Practitioner. During this time, Kevin pushed himself academically while working as a dental assistant and started school at The University of Michigan in the Dental Hygiene program. Kevin and Katy have always been supportive of each other which has enabled their relationship to flourish as they grew as individuals.

Eleven years into their relationship, after countless hours talking on the phone, studying with each other, spending time with family and friends, and making so many great memories, Kevin popped the question! On September 3, 2023, Kevin, Katy, and a group of family and friends went to play a golf scramble at Lake Forest Golf Course. After Katy sunk her putt at the 18th hole, she turned around to find Kevin on one knee while he asked her to marry him. Of course she said YES!!!!

Kevin and Katy feel extremely blessed to have found one another. They are very excited to continue their lives together, start a family, and see what God has in store for the future.
