Kathryn and Marshall met in Fargo, North Dakota in 2018. They had both just graduated college (Kathryn from Notre Dame and Marshall from Mississippi State) and were working at their first jobs out of school at KVRR news. Kathryn had been working as a production assistant for a few months when Marshall arrived as the new meteorologist. Since he was new to town, Kathryn asked him out to coffee, and they ended up talking for 5 hours! The rest is history :)

Marshall proposed to Kathryn on a trip to the most magical place on earth, Disney World! On the first night of their vacation, they dined at Todd English's Bluezoo restaurant, and Marshall ordered a bottle of champagne to share. When the bottle was brought to the table, Kathryn was surprised to see a proposal written in lieu of the wine label. She said yes, of course, and they had the rest of a memorable trip to celebrate their engagement.

Marshall and Kathryn moved to Roanoke, Virginia in early 2022, and are loving the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! Marshall is enjoying his new job at WSLS 10 News, and Kathryn is able to continue to work remotely for the State of North Dakota Securities Department. While they are loving the beautiful weather and fun adventures out East, they hope to return to the Midwest in the future.
