How Kathy and Kerry met... (in Kerry's words, lol)

Well… I was freshly out of a long relationship, and had not dated in while... and I was a little thirsty lol... looking for a beautiful woman who was right for me. One weekend while I was out with my friends in NYC, I was searching for the top party venues in NYC during NBA all-star weekend. While browsing the internet, I hopped on to Facebook to see what was going on that weekend. I remembered thinking to myself, there is this girl (Kathy)... I always see on my Facebook… who was always in the place to be in NYC. So, I slid in her DMs; Needless to say, the conversation went well and continued to converse for weeks. After a couple of months, I traveled up to NYC to take her out on our first date. I was happily surprised to see how beautiful Kathy was in person. (thankfully not just pretty on social media lol). As the date progressed through the night, Kathy made me laugh every couple minutes (her stories are hilarious). Our first date was memorable, and we still talk it until this day.

Kathy’s version:

It all started on February 17, 2015 when we were online on Facebook and for about a year considered “friends”. I know some of you might ask, did you not know you were friends that whole time? A funny fact is that I was modeling for several music videos and magazines, so I would frequently search for opportunities to network on Facebook. Many people would send me friend requests that I would add away, without much thought given, and that was how and when he decided to shoot his shot with me. He knew that I lived in NYC, so he asked me a few questions on venues he could visit with his friends during all-star weekend. Normally, I don’t reply to guys on Facebook’s instant message, but once I had seen his photo, and liked what I saw, I responded ASAP (lol). I remember telling him I don’t know where he should go, due to the fact that “I don’t go out anymore” (which was a blatant lie). He found it questionable, because and said he remembered seeing a post last week with a picture where I was out with friends. I buckled down and decided “well, now I don’t go out anymore,” then, we both laughed it off and continued to chat. Ever since then, we talked every day for the next three months! One day I started to notice that I had never heard his voice, the more we texted, the more I wondered what his voice would sound like over the phone. Kidding around I stated flat-out that I sound like a man (lol) and not much sooner did I write that, did he call me to find out! He heard my voice and was delighted; he couldn’t stop laughing too at how much my voice did not match my appearance -I have a Spanish accent! That tickled him everywhere. I was surprised myself that a Delaware accent even existed. After taking our conversations over the phone, it was only natural for us to want to meet in person. Our relief was instant once we met, to see each other face to face, and to know that we weren’t getting cat-fished (lol)… and the rest is history. We’ve been inseparable ever since.
