Nick was a speech pathologist at the school Kati works at and serviced her students. As they worked together and spent countless hours in Kati's classroom doing paperwork, they realized they were starting to have feelings for each other. A couple of months into the school year, Nick asked Kati on a date. After a few more dates, Kati friendzoned him twice but Nick still pursued! Kati finally realized what a great guy he is and decided to give him a chance and the rest is history!
