As a couple and even as Best friends, Katie and Chad often made comments or talked about marriage to each other. After Two Years, 3 countries and many enjoyable moments their love was everything each had ever dreamed. It was time... Time to Ring Shop!

Knowing Katie as well as Chad did, he knew she would have specific ring ideas in mind. They decided as a couple to look at rings so when the time came Chad would know exactly what to get. Unknown to Katie, Chad needed inspiration to custom design the engagement ring.

It took Chad two months to design the ring. The engagment plan was all predicated on the ring being done in time for their vacation to Florida. Luckly, the ring was complete just in the nick of time, being delivered sight unseen to Katie's parents house just two days before that special moment.

On Friday March 16th, 2018 the rest of their lives were about to begin. Chad's grand idea was to purpose to Katie on her favorite beach in her home town at sunset. With the help of Katie's amazing friend Nikki the plan to "go to the beach for sunset pictures and to see Nikki, then go to dinner" was set.

Katie will say to this day, "she felt like something was going on" but we all know she had no clue.

After a great day hanging with Katie's family, drinking sangria and playing washers the time had finally come to "Take sunset pictures". Nervously and slowly, Chad drove Katie to the beach, ring in left pocket (furthest from Katie's eyes). He was driving slow, as Nikki needed a little extra time to setup the Heart and Champagne for that special moment.

The plan was to "meet" Nikki at the beach, she would have the candle-lit heart and champagne setup for that moment of a life time. However like things often do, the plan went a little wrong. Walking past Nikki, Chad and Katie wandered the beach looking for Nikki; Katie just looking for her friend and Chad nervously looking for the candle-lit heart.

"Yes we walked past Nikki, right past her"

Nikki, oh there she is, sitting on a picnic blanket 50 yards to our right. Directly due north of Nikki was the heart made of candles. As Katie and Chad approached, the plan, at least in Chad's eyes was in jeopardy of being spoiled and to ensure no loss of surprise would occur he quickly halted their hello and dragged Katie into position of what she thought was going to be just "sunset photo's.

When Chad took a knee in the middle of that heart both their worlds stopped, neither is exactly sure what was said but what matters most was Katie said yes. Yes to Chad, Yes to Love and Yes to her best friend.

And now we are getting MARRIED!!!!!
