We’ve shared a couple different versions of our story over the years so we’ll set things straight here. We matched on Bumble in May 2018 and met in person a few weeks later in Morristown (shout out Iron Bar). We hung out nearly every day for about two weeks until Taylor had to go back to California for a couple months. So, Katie did what any reasonable person would do and booked a trip to California to visit a boy she knew for less than a month. The trip was obviously a success...
Over the past 5+ years, we’ve spoken in mostly movie and tv quotes. We’ve bonded over The Rock being a subpar actor, date nights at the movies, John Mayer concerts, meatballs, ice cream, tasty cocktails, and ramen. We became godparents, started a business together, and have supported each other relentlessly in our passions. Who would’ve thought an Aggie and Bama gal could fall in love.
On April Fools Day 2023, Taylor brought Katie back to where it all started to propose. To Katie's surprise, Taylor had invited both of their families to witness and celebrate the proposal (if you look closely at the engagement photos, you can see everyone standing in the window of the building in the background).
Fun story about the above picture: Taylor didn't tell his family that he was seeing a girl...until he sent a bunch of photos to his family and accidentally included the now infamous photo.
