Q + A

What is the dress code?

This is the number 1 question! The wedding will take place on Halloween. Costumes are definitely encouraged, but not required! You can wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. We don’t care if you dress up as full blown superman (for example), or come in a pumpkin t-shirt and halloween leggings! Just be comfortable and festive.

**PLEASE REFRAIN FROM THE FOLLOWING**

NO evil/demonic costumes. Think fun, magical, romantic, spooky, hocus pocus, family friendly halloween. Katie is a scaredy cat and may punch your ass out if you scare her in any way. If you’re not sure, you better get the costume approved ahead.

What is the weather like in October?

Florida October is low 80s in the day, and at night from mid 60s to low 70s. For us in Florida, it will be “coolerish”. If you’re coming from the North, you may want to consider dressing lightly since we will be outside. However, the sun does go down in the yard and it is shady by 6PM when we plan to start!

Is there a hotel room block?

YES! We have blocked off rooms at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Click the link below to book your room now! Info about the hotel is in the Hotel Room Block tab of this website.

What airport should I fly into?

There are two airport options:

Tampa International Airport (TPA) - Approximately 1- 1/2 hours from Spring Hill and all hotels in the area depending on the time of day.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) - At least 2-21/2 hours from Spring Hill and all hotels in the area, but if you plan to extend your stay and see Orlando, great option.

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

You should plan this out at least 48 hours prior to your arrival at TPA or MCO. There are numerous car services, taxi’s, or ubers you could utilize in both areas to assist with transportation. You can also use any car rental service from either airport.

How do I get to the Venue? On a broom stick, perhaps?

The Gaiser Haunted Manor is located at:

14315 Linden Drive

Spring Hill, FL 34436

This is about a 15-20 min ride from all hotels in the area. Consider Uber or carpooling if you plan to drink.

What happens if it is raining on the day of the wedding?

Welp, let’s hope not. To the best of my knowledge, we have the party anyway! We will have covered areas all throughout the yard as well as the house.

When does the party end?

When the last guys and ghouls can’t stand no mo!

What is the RSVP Deadline?

As of the time of writing, invitations are still forthcoming, but we require all guests to RSVP to our wedding, using the RSVP function on this website, by no later than August 31, 2025.

The RSVP section of our website will go live soon. If for some reason you believe you cannot meet this deadline, please reach out to Katie and Jessy. You really don’t want to miss this so you should RSVP ASAP.

Can I bring plus-one?

If your invitation included a note that we have given you a plus-one, then yes, please bring a guest. If your invitation did not indicate that we gave you a plus-one, we ask that you understand that we want to share this day with as many family and close friends as possible and have limited availability to offer everyone a plus one. If there is a question just ask us.

Will children be invited to the wedding?

Kids are limited to those guests of whom we know have kids and will need to bring them. If we haven’t discussed it, please ask us ahead of time. We are currently accounting for wedding party kids, and a few others. But it’s not a kid party, ya’ll.

Is there parking at the Venue?

Yes, there will be a valet parking service to park your car.

Is there a registry?

There will be a registry. We also appreciate any donations toward our house fund! The registry is on this website.

Is it a cash bar or open bar?

It will be an open bar. Please bring cash to tip your bartenders; they will be working hard for you! Please drink responsibly.

Are phones allowed?

Yes! We just ask that they are put away for the ceremony. If you take pictures after or before the ceremony, please share them with Mary and Alex!

Can I record the wedding?

Yes! We just ask that you do not record during the ceremony.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Yes, you can smoke, just be courteous to those around you. Please go find an area on the side of the house or something.

What food will be served at the wedding?

We will have passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour. We will have a buffet dinner and dessert table at the reception.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

If you have a dietary restriction please be sure to note it on your RSVP. There will be a question about this.
