In early 2021, Katie and Cole had memberships to the Hub Gym in Broken Arrow, OK. Cole even had a part-time job there as well. Katie, working nightshift, frequented the gym during the afternoon hours often when Cole would either be working out or working his shifts. The connection was immediate between the two. Both were discreet, however, and it took a couple of months for them to finally get the nerve to talk and introduce themselves. Finally in mid-April, Cole came up to Katie during her Saturday morning workout and asked the question... "Have you left a Google review for the gym?" Katie's heart was beating out of her chest. Of course she'd left a google review before as she'd been a member of this gym for four years! But she was finally talking to her gym crush, and there's no way she was going to let the conversation end there. So, without hesitation, she responded, "No, I don't think I have!" From there they learned each other's names and even gave each other a follow on Instagram. After about a week of DM-ing and many conversations during their workouts, Cole and Katie went on their first date on April 21, 2021 at the Rooftop Bar in Hotel Indigo in downtown Tulsa with Katie's best friend Alexa Aeschleman and her husband Tom (by the way, Alexa gets all the credit that this date even happened.) From there the lovebirds continued to date, get to know each other, and have a ton of fun together. On September 3rd, 2021, Cole surprised Katie with a single red rose and asked her to be his girlfriend. Katie, who is a sucker for The Bachelor/Bachelorette, of course said yes! The next two years were filled with highs and lows, joy and sadness, tears and laughter. But one thing that remained constant was the love these two had for each other. They grew stronger as individuals and as a couple, they never faltered, they always remained loyal, and they continued to choose each other every day.
