Our Wedding

In the midst of the world’s shutdown, when everything felt uncertain, Katie and Parker found each other, and instantly, everything seemed right. They were graciously introduced to each other the only way that people could be at the time: the internet. Ever since they met, it's been hard to separate the pair. For them, COVID changed their lives in many ways as they fell in love over takeout food in blanket forts. From the very start, they knew they shared something rare – the kind of love people spend a lifetime searching for.   Together, they fill every moment with laughter, adventure, and happiness. Both are outgoing in their own ways and love to hang out with their friends and family. Traveling has been so important for their relationship, and they have made many memories in places they only dreamed of.   Through every laugh, every journey, and every day they face together, Katie and Parker know they have found something truly special – a love that feels effortless, timeless, and true.   They can't wait to celebrate such a special day with the most important people in their lives.

Parker and Katie got engaged on May 2nd, 2024 in the city of love: Paris, France. On the first night of their 16 day journey across Europe, Parker got down on one knee in front of the sparkling Eiffel Tower after a magical night of dinner and wine on the Seine River. It was an incredible start to the trip of a lifetime for them both.

Our Engagement Story 

The Golden Girls 

From their first conversations, they learned they shared a common dream: to one day be the proud owner of two golden retrievers.   Once upon a time, in the early days of Katie and Parker’s life together, they found themselves deeply in love, dreaming of a future full of joy, adventure, and companionship. Parker, who grew up with two Golden Retrievers, always envisioned his family with the warmth and love that only a Golden could bring. It didn’t take long before Katie shared that vision, so the couple decided they were ready to bring a new furry friend into their family.   Their journey of being proud pet parents began with Lily. When they first met her, she was just a golden puffball with the sweetest mopey eyes and a heart as big as her playful paws. Lily is light in color, with a sunny disposition to match, and she has an uncanny ability to make anyone smile. From day one, Lily’s love for people has been boundless; she is happiest when she is near her family, even just warming their feet under the table. She loves nothing more than treats, besides maybe cuddling with her mom and dad. Lily’s purpose in life is simple: to love and to be loved. Her sweet and gentle spirit brought Katie and Parker even closer, and they couldn’t imagine life without her.   As fate would have it, a few short months after they got Lily, their family was about to grow in an unexpected way. On a whim, just as they were getting used to life with one dog, Katie and Parker made a spontaneous, last-minute decision to bring another Golden into their lives—a little sister for Lily. This was how Maple entered the story. Darker in color and full of playful, sassy spirit, Maple is every bit the spirited little sister. Maple is sweet and loving like her big sister, but she has a fire in her, a passion for life that revolved around one thing above all: balls. For Maple, nothing in the world is quite as exciting or satisfying as chasing, retrieving, or simply staring at a ball. From tennis balls to squeaky balls to the occasional pinecone she mistook for a ball—if it rolls, Maple is there.   As the sisters grew up together, their personalities balanced each other beautifully. Lily, ever the calm and serene one, adored Maple and doesn’t mind letting her take center stage with her high-energy antics. Maple, meanwhile, has a fierce love for Lily, even if she sometimes grows a little jealous when Lily receives too much attention. Despite their differences, they are an inseparable pair. They love to snuggle, play, and stick their heads out of the car together.   Katie and Parker couldn’t ask for better dogs. Lily and Maple aren't just pets; they are family, each one amazing in her own way, each one bringing a love that only a Golden could.
