Kyle: I had absolutely no idea how to start a conversation, especially with a girl that I was attempting to flirt with. I cannot flirt at all :D -----------------------------------------------------------------Katie: After a year and a half of hearing just about every pick up line you can think of on dating apps, it was extremely refreshing to get a message from a guy who was just being genuine.

Katie: When we first met, we went on a few virtual dates. Our third virtual date was an online escape room (we're nerds).

Kyle: This was our second in person date. It was also the night that I officially asked her to be my girlfriend. (Peep the gas prices too).

Kyle: This was the first time we spent almost 12 hours together. It was easy, comfortable, and we were never searching for something to talk about. Also you can tell I've said something stupid. I get that look to this day. I regret nothing.

Katie: For our three month dating anniversary, we went hatchet throwing. It's one of Kyle's favorite things to do. The caption says it all.

Kyle: See, it's the look :D

Katie: Our first vacation together was to Disney World and Universal. This was taken a few hours before Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, where we dressed up as Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. On this trip, I learned that Kyle and I can spend days together and still work together well. Kyle learned that I don't particularly enjoy thrill rides.

Katie: Exhibit A - I'm a delight.

Kyle: The Buzz Lightyear ride got stuck and I had a perfect shot at a target that I just kept shooting. Katie was not amused. There is no mercy :D----------------------------------------------------------------------Katie: I'm still bitter about this.

Katie: Our first Christmas together. I got to spend the holiday with Kyle's family, where I was able to experience their family traditions. And also Die Hard. Lots of Die Hard.

Katie: We spent our third anniversary in NYC, where I finally got to check Wicked off of my Broadway bucket list. Please note, the pink and green outfits were unplanned.

Kyle: Being able to be a complete goof with her is one of my favorite parts of our relationship. And the fact that she knows I'm a goof/annoyance AND she still said yes?!

Kyle: We went on a mini vacation to Richmond, VA. There was an old estate that had been turned into a nature/historical preserve. Little did this one know there was a ring in my pocket since we started the day because I was looking for the right time.

Kyle: Funny enough, Katie took this photo about 5 minutes before I proposed to her on that bridge.

Katie: Even though I knew a proposal was in the works, I was completely surprised when it happened. Kyle kept trying to throw me off by asking me to pose for pictures throughout the day. We posed for another "picture" on a bridge in one of the gardens, but in actuality Kyle was capturing the moment on his Go Pro. In retrospect, the signs were all there that day- I was just too distracted by Pokémon Go to see them. Our trip in Richmond was one for the books, and I will cherish this memory forever!
