Kevin and I's love story is one of my favorite stories to tell. He and I officially met while I was working for World Racing Group in Charlotte, NC and he was working at Williams Grove Speedway. Before the relationship had even the slightest hint of romance, we were known for some pretty gnarly Outlaw vs. Posse banter via social media accounts. :)

One night in early December, I was stood up for a second date. So my girlfriends were quick to swoop in with a girls night to fill the void. That night I made a comment about this guy I knew through racing who was always liking and commenting on my posts and seemed like one of the good guys, and they suggested I send him a message. So I started off really charming with a "Hey, how are you?" and immediately received "I'm wonderful, and yourself?" in response. I should mention that a day hasn't gone by since that we haven't communicated with each other.

The texting, phone calls and Skype calls were in full force for several weeks before Kevin demanded that he had to come down to Charlotte to spend some real time with me. I finally caved, and he came down and spent an amazing first official date weekend with me and took me to my first (I had no idea how many this would lead to) hockey game. For several months after, we put a lot of miles on vehicles traveling back and forth from NC to PA (credit where it's due, Kevin did A LOT of the driving). Kevin came to meet my family that March, I met his family in April and attended my first Penn State game (another time I had no idea how many that would lead to). After a few months of being head over heels for each other, we knew bridging the gap between us was needed. I of course had no intentions of moving to PA, but it's amazing how things happen, and in August of 2014, I took a leap of faith and made the move.

We spent several years together in Apartment E, and while I spent a lot of time complaining about the tiny floor plan, lack of my personal touch and wanting something more, I had some of my favorite memories in that little apartment, and for that, Apartment E will always have a special place in my heart. We upgraded to a town home in October of 2018 and have fallen in love with being able to create our own space together and entertain family and friends more often.

Kevin had been warned years ago that his timeline for proposing had to occur before the common law 7-year requirement. While we've joked for years about it, I hoped I wouldn't have to carry through with my threats if he pushed it past the limit. Thankfully, 6 years and 361 days later, he got down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was easily the easiest question I've ever been able to answer.

We cannot wait to celebrate this special day with you in December, exactly one year from the date that he popped the question. I have dreamed of this wedding since I was a little girl, so being able to put it all together has been a dream come true. We hope you are ready for the party of a lifetime.
