Oh boy where to start. Scott and I met in a very unconventional way, but I love our story because its ours. Scott works at Schneider in Chicago&nbsp;and I worked in the Dallas office&nbsp;some time ago. That's where it all started. I was a new hire fresh out of training eager to put my new skills to work. Scott was in sales and I was a broker. For those of you who don't understand trucking lingo.. basically he relied on me and I relied on him to be successful. Anyways, day one, I am helping him with one of his loads, and sure enough I messed something up. Here comes Scott with a temper. He was blowing up my Skype chat telling me how horrible I was at my job and requested to speak to my manager (I know what you're thinking....he's a real charmer). I was flustered and upset (he is 100% going to say he made me cry..not true)&nbsp;that someone I didn't even know was talking to me like this. A few seconds later I heard my team lead, who sat at the desk in front of me, talking to the mean man from my Skype chat. A few more seconds passed and I heard my name, as I looked up my team lead snapped a picture of me. AWK! Come to find out, my team lead sent Scott a picture of me and said "you can't be mad at this face." Apparently he was right. After a couple more minutes..post phone call.. here comes Scott on my Skype messenger again. However, instead of apologizing he is pretending (typical guy fashion)&nbsp;like he wasn't just trying to get me fired 5 minutes ago. I was butt&nbsp;hurt and basically non-responsive. A week later it was my birthday. I was sitting at my desk when out of no where the office manager appeared with a huge flower arrangement of two dozen roses. The card inside read, "I'm sorry. Happy Birthday." The card was not signed, but I had a feeling I knew who it was from. I can't lie, I loved the thoughtful and public gesture. That day, he popped me up again. I thanked him for the flowers. After several messages back and forth he asked me for my phone number. A few weeks of chatting and several FaceTime dates later.. the rest is history!

Her Story

I wish I could contradict some of the events Katie listed above but she about hit the nail on the head.&nbsp; However, she did leave out some key details beyond those events.&nbsp; As many of you know, work has always come first to me.&nbsp; It is what I would think about from the moment I woke up, until I went to bed and would often&nbsp;dream about it (&nbsp;also known as frightmare’s to those in the logistics world&nbsp;haha).&nbsp; When Katie and I started talking it all changed;&nbsp;she was what I found myself thinking about nonstop.&nbsp; I would watch the clock for the day to end so I could get home and facetime her for hours.&nbsp; Those hours flew by and as we got to know each other more, we started&nbsp;flying every other weekend to spend time together.&nbsp; What I hated most&nbsp;was that&nbsp;on Saturdays I&nbsp;&nbsp;started to get sad knowing that our time together was almost over, and we would be back to long distance.&nbsp; After about 6 months of the back and forth, cross- country flying&nbsp;I asked her to move to Chicago to&nbsp;take the next step with me. &nbsp;And, without hesitation she said yes!

Michelle (Meesh) has been my best friend for 20 years now. From elementary school all the way up until now our friendship has only grown stronger. The memories we have made in 20 years are some of my favorites and ones I will never forget. We literally grew up together and she has become my family.&nbsp;My parents love her like their own and she’s my sister. She has always had my back and&nbsp;he allows me to be my true self and I love her for that.&nbsp;Meesh has been there for every special moment in my life so it is only fitting that she stands right next to me as I marry the love of my life!

Michelle Kimbrell

I met Kyle my freshman year of college, since the day&nbsp;we met we instantly clicked.&nbsp; We were so&nbsp; inseparable in college that&nbsp;people started referring to us as&nbsp;"SKYLE".&nbsp; We took every class together, went to every party together, lived together&nbsp;and were even on the cheerleading team together.&nbsp; Many will say Kyle earned two degrees, mine and his and I do thank him for that.&nbsp;When college came to an end we the distance was nothing for our&nbsp;friendship.&nbsp;&nbsp;We continue to talk every week and plan trips to see each other.&nbsp; I am excited to call him my best man.

Recognize the last name? ;) Lanie is my only sister. Although we are 7 years apart in age, we have grown so close over the past couple of years. She is funny,&nbsp;kind,&nbsp;wise beyond her years, and fiercely protective. Scott and Lanie&nbsp;developed a special bond from day one, which made&nbsp;me feel even more confident in my decision to&nbsp;marry him! She has been there for every special moment throughout the wedding planning process.&nbsp;I can’t&nbsp;imagine not having her as my baby sister and sharing this special day with her is an absolute dream.

Alaina Brice

My brother and I had different&nbsp;&nbsp;interests when we were younger, but when I got&nbsp;to high&nbsp;school&nbsp;him and I grew close.&nbsp;He is someone I go to now when I need advice and that I look up to as a role model.&nbsp; I have really appreciated his guidance and advice as Katie and I plan our&nbsp;wedding.&nbsp; I am lucky to have such an awesome brother!

Patrick Raddatz

Oh Court! We have been friends since her freshman year of high school and my sophomore year! We met through cheerleading and our bond has become unbreakable over the years. From cheer sleepovers to you having baby Kaia we have not missed&nbsp;a beat. My favorite part about our friendship&nbsp;is the fact that even though we are far apart and life gets busy, we always pick up where we left off.&nbsp;I love her dearly and look forward to sharing all of life's big moments&nbsp;with her!

Courtney Cauthen

The day &nbsp;I met Keaton, he treated me like&nbsp;part of the family.&nbsp; I can say that I have had a lot of firsts with him;&nbsp;from playing poker, going hunting, learning to day trade and the list goes on.&nbsp; I&nbsp;can not wait to continue having more firsts with him and having him be part of this special day as he becomes my brother-in-law.

Keaton Brice

Dom and I&nbsp;met at Schneider and we have been great friends ever since.&nbsp; I've had some of the&nbsp;best nights in Chicago hanging out with him and playing darts in his apartment until 5AM.&nbsp; He has been a person that has&nbsp;always provided&nbsp;a positive outlook on life and has me laughing nonstop when we are together.

Dom Calistro

I just love Heather, plain and simple. Our friendship has grown slowly and deeply over the years. From cul de sac parties to working&nbsp;at Schneider together, to me meeting Scott and moving to Chicago, Heather has always been my biggest supporter. She is without a doubt the most caring person and friend. She loves her people deeply and without conditions and it doesn't go unnoticed! I love our friendship and look forward to everything&nbsp;this next chapter of our lives will bring.&nbsp;

Heather Bowman

Alyssa and I met freshman year of college. From the beginning we clicked and now I consider her one of my best friends. She has been my go to girl for all things weddings. While planning her own she was always there to help me or answer any questions I had. She is just the sweetest and definitely&nbsp;makes my life sweeter! I am so grateful&nbsp;to have her play such a big role in my life. I look forward to many more years and milestones together!

Alyssa Fincham

Ted and I shared the same manager at Schneider, and &nbsp;has&nbsp;always pushed me to get to the next level at work.&nbsp; Outside of work, we still find ourselves talking about work.&nbsp; We always look forward to game nights because he&nbsp;&nbsp;has the best games and is the absolute best host.&nbsp; All of my friends ask when we can do another one and of course&nbsp;make sure Ted is there.

Where do I start? Mel and I were random college roommates at Arkansas our freshman year. With her being from St. Louis and I from Dallas, I was concerned that we might not have alot in common, or worse, not get along. WOW&nbsp;WAS I&nbsp;WRONG! Mel and I hit it off from day one living together in that tiny dorm room in Reid. Its hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago now. I value her&nbsp;friendship so much and I don't like to think about what life would be like without her. I stood next to her as she married her husband, now its her turn to return the favor :)&nbsp;

Melissa Hettish

LD and Katie are very close. In the beginning,&nbsp;I often went to him for&nbsp;advice on mine and Katie’s relationship.&nbsp; He is the most genuine person and has helped me stay accountable when it comes to&nbsp;working out.&nbsp; He makes sure that&nbsp;he is always reaching out to me and checking in&nbsp;on Katie and I. He always makes an effort to see us when we are in Dallas and I am lucky to have him stand by side.&nbsp;

LaDarius Campbell

Where do I start? Lauren and&nbsp;I met at the same house party that I met Sarah. We spent the night dancing to early 2000s rap music and have been inseparable&nbsp;ever since. Sarah, Lauren and I lived together freshman year in the cutest little red house on Old Farmington Rd. Lauren is a fierce protector of the people she loves and I am lucky enough to have fallen into that category. I always knew Lauren would play a big role on me wedding day...and here we are! I can't wait to share this day with you by my side!

Denodus and I also met at Schneider where our friendship flourished. &nbsp;When we hang out there isn't a dull moment and he always builds me up.&nbsp; He is a very down to earth person and someone I am proud to be around and call a friend. &nbsp;He loves Katie and that is special to me.&nbsp;We have the same outlook on life and even though we have only been friends for a few years, I&nbsp;know we will be friends forever.

Denodus O'Bryant

Jeff and I met when I was a freshman&nbsp;&nbsp;in college.&nbsp;He would come to our dorm room to&nbsp;hangout and play video games with us. When he came to school&nbsp;at Eastern Illinois it didn't take much convincing to get him to tryout for the cheerleading team. For the&nbsp;rest of college he&nbsp;still always hung&nbsp;out in our dorm room. We worked out together, worked at the same car dealership and spent a lot of our free time together.&nbsp;We have a ton of inside jokes and have made a ton of memories together.&nbsp;Jeff still makes me laugh and is fun to be around&nbsp;when he makes it up to Chicago.

My Sarah! Sarah and I have been friends since freshman year of college. We met at a house party and after a short conversation we were BFF's and eventually roomies. Sarah is so kind, compassionate, beautiful and I hate to admit, funny! She always makes me laugh and helps me keep a positive attitude. She is my go to girl for a good photo edit.&nbsp;Life would be pretty dull&nbsp;without her! She's just the best!

Michelle is Scott's only sister and my soon to be sister in law. Michelle is goofy and light hearted. We have grown to really enjoy each others company over the past few years and I can't wait&nbsp;to have her by my side as I kiss her brother at the altar and become his wife :)

Carley and I have been friends since freshman year of college. This girl and I have been through so much together. Our bond is indescribable. We clicked instantly and have shared so many years of our lives together. From living together for two years in college to starting careers at the same place&nbsp;and learning how to&nbsp;adult&nbsp;together in the same apartment for two years we have literally been there for each other in such huge life moments. I wouldn't think of changing that now. I am honored to have her by my side. She brings the fun and the party to my life and I cant wait to share this day with her!
