Which Airport should I fly into?
There are three airports within an hour / hour and a half radius of our venue, so please take into consideration the different costs, busyness of the airport, or route preferences when you're choosing!
We would recommend DFW (Dallas - Fort Worth International) as it is a large airport boasting more flight options which may be convenient if you are traveling from further. If your flight of choice is American or Delta, DFW is the way to go! It is located outside the city of Dallas, so you may be able to select a route to the venue around the heart of the city and avoid some traffic. (Dallas traffic is a thing of nightmares.)
Dallas - Love Field is another recommendation located near Downtown Dallas and is a moderately sized airport that is less difficult to navigate internally but may have less options to fly by larger airline - it is the primary home to Southwest Airlines.
Tyler- Pounds Regional is the third airport in the area offering a quicker drive to the venue but generally comes with a layover at DFW.
Check out ticket options at each, scope out the maps/routes, and compare for the best option for you!
Where should we stay?
We recommend staying in or around Sulphur Springs! The venue is located 13 minutes outside of downtown Sulphur Springs where there are plenty of hotel and AirBnB options in town! There is also a lake located about 15 minutes south of our venue, Lake Fork, where there is an abundance of AirBnB properties and cabin rentals available if you would like to take on some lake activities for our Labor Day Wedding Weekend. The lake boasts activities galore to include kayak, canoe, and boat rentals, fishing, and restaurants nearby. (This lake is known to have the best large-mouth bass fishing in Texas if any of the fisherman were curious!)

What is the attire?
We have decided to lean into the Texas flare a bit with our wedding style to pay homage to the rich culture and celebratory spirit of Texas! Semi-formal or Western Cocktail will be our dressage of choice. So, men, feel free to come in your slacks and boots, cowboy hats, or bolo ties if you're feelin froggy! Ladies, lace, cowgirl hats, and big hair could be a fun way to dress-out if the mood strikes you! Semi-formal is the primary attire, but if you'd like to lean into the cowboy spirit, this is your opportunity to do so, and we'd love to see it! Thank y'all:)
What should we expect at the wedding?
Our venue will host both the ceremony and the reception, so no need to drive to another location, as the chapel was built just behind our reception venue! There is ample parking on-site if you choose to drive or is conveniently located near downtown Sulphur Springs if you decide to uber.
We will begin the ceremony in the air-conditioned chapel (good to know for a Texas summer), followed by the covered outdoor cocktail hour just steps away where guests can enjoy a light snack at the grazing table and a cold drink while they mingle. After Cocktail hour ends, guests will move indoors to the reception where the bride and groom will make their grand entrance as husband and wife and share their first dance together with father-daughter and Mother-son dances to follow. Speeches and a toast will kick-off our dinner buffet and dancing and music will fill the space in between before the bouquet and garter tosses and cake cutting. Guests may mingle, eat, drink, take photos at the photo booth, enjoy a visit with the bride and groom, and dance before the grand exit for the night. Precise timeline to follow!
Are there activities nearby?
Yes! The Hopkins County Civic Center hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are typically free to the public. There are shops, restaurants, bars, salons, and boutiques that pepper the charming downtown region of Sulphur Springs as well as nearby Lake Fork that boasts a myriad of lake activities to ward off the Texas heat! You may also opt to travel about 45 minutes south to Tyler, Texas to enjoy a larger city and see what the Rose Capital of America has to offer, or hop over to Lindale, Texas, and see what the hometown of country music star, Miranda Lambert's town has in store.
