The Toucan Rescue Ranch is an organization that works to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals into the wild. It is located in Josecito, San Isidro, Heredia, which is approximately 25 minutes from downtown San Jose. I have been many times since moving to Costa Rica and have taken a few groups of students to the establishment on field trips. When Esteban and I originally began to think about our wedding, we wanted to just have a civil ceremony, at least for now. However, when my family said that they wanted to come, we decided to elevate the civil ceremony and host it somewhere that is special to us.
