Max and Katie met at the University of Minnesota in Feb 2020, they went on a couple dates before COVID sent everyone into lockdown. That summer, Max ended up working at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa where he and Katie continued to talk and spend time together. They started dating in July 2020 before heading back to college as a couple!

The following summer, Max came back to Brainerd to work with Katie at The Classic Golf Course at Maddens. Summer of 2021 holds some of their fondest memories with both new and old friends.

Max graduated from undergrad in 2022, and moved home at the end of the year to student teach in Eagan. Luckily his program was 5 years so he and Katie still spent lots of time together. In 2023 Max graduated with a masters degree and Katie finished her undergrad!

The September after both Katie and Max had graduated, they moved in together! They got to adjust to their new life in Hopkins working full time post grad together. On November 2, 2024 Max proposed to Katie at Wood Lake Nature Center in Edina, and she said YES!! They are looking forward to this next chapter in their lives.
