After each worked a day separately, Katie and Mike met on a starry night in South Philly, that consisted of having a nice meal and conversations, hopping around to some of their favorite spots.

Mike asked Katie out for drinks right before Thanksgiving. On the day that they were supposed to go for drinks Katie didn't feel well and cancelled. They rescheduled for a week later and Katie almost cancelled again. But, she met Mike at a bar in their neighborhood (they lived a few blocks from each other!) and was immediately glad she did. They both knew that night that this first date was different than any other, and from that night on sparks have been flying. One could say they are quite combustable.

Something that gets forgotten in this grand tale, is the first place they were supposed to meet was closed. This would symbolize much more about their relationship than they could ever imagine. Life continued to challenge them with all kinds of ups and downs, lefts and rights, and some in-betweens. Together they help each other grow more everyday, and know that if they have each other they can get through anything.

Fast forward a few years; Katie and Mike have a home together in South Philly and a beautiful puppy named Stella! They've been able to travel to different parts of the world together and build many memories. But also, it is not a movie story . Love is work, and these two don’t hesitate to put that work in. They do it for each other and will for the rest of their lives They cannot wait to celebrate this true love story with their friends and family.
