Be sure and check out Larimer Square in the evening. At certain times, restaurants will open their doors and the busy roadway becomes a dining experience!
No list of “things to do in Denver” is complete without mentioning Red Rocks. Talk about a gorgeous venue to catch a show at. If you’re not able to see a show, I definitely recommend going and just walking around. There’s even a restaurant (behind me in the photo) so you can eat after hiking around.
Boulder is a gorgeous high altitude town at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Boulder is a preternaturally laid back and somewhat dreamy, a pristine town with mountains framing every corner. The town is a unique blend of rustic and modern, of culture and nature.
It’s a great place to people watch, meet with friends for any meal of the day and happy hours here are extremely popular. Union Station offers several options for libations and food. The Crawford Hotel is located inside the station which makes it super convenient for those traveling on Amtrak or just looking to spend a weekend in Denver. The A Line train is a convenient way to get to and from the airport.
Little Man Ice Cream is a favorite for locals and visitors alike (especially Rocky). The Denver icon serves fresh, homemade ice cream in unique and traditional flavors (including vegan options!) from an iconic 28 foot tall cream can… You have to see it to believe it. Little Man offers a scoop of “vintage American nostalgia,” perfect for a warm summer night.
Be aware, the line can get very long, but it’s well worth the wait.
There’s really nothing like summer in Rocky Mountain National Park! This is one of the nation’s prettiest parks and is best explored in summer months. This is when Trail Ridge Road is open and hiking trails are accessible.
In Rocky Mountain National Park plan to go for a short hike to Bear Lake or Dream Lake, drive the scenic Trail Ridge Road, and watch for wildlife!
Be aware, during summer timed entry timed entry permits are required to visit RMNP and must be purchased in advance.
The Rockies STINK but a day at the ballpark is always fun!
